We are installing the Ferrparts upgraded window motors in a 308. They worked exactly twice and then our ground signal disappeared at the switches.

The ground appears to be shared with the wiper motor, turn signal flasher, parking lights, and a few other things.

    Thanks in advance,

    Aaron

Couldn’t you just make a separate ground wire to the body or chassis for the Switch? Which is probably better than sharing it with the rest.

    that’s the backup plan. Haha

But I’d really like to find the original ground and clean/repair it.

There's a big common earth up under the dash, above the fuse panel. If that screw becomes loose. all sorts of electrical gremlins show up. I knew a guy who had a brand new 328 which had an intermittent miss, amongst other gremlins. Two batteries and an alternator (under warranty) later, he found a loose ground screw under the dash - fixed. The local dealer was an idiot (I bought a car off him, too - don't get me started).

In case anyone else needs to know, it's behind and above the radio. If you remove the fuse panel you can (pretty) easily get a 10mm wrench on the nut.
