I have a LNIB gold President double quick set with aftermarket diamond bezel and face that's not "Me" (trust me on this ;) ).
I picked it up 10 years ago as part of a package deal.
Found a rose gold Blancpain Fifty Fathoms that has my name on it. About 14K LNIB from a dealer.
Is an across the board trade fair ?
If not where can I get a reasonable estimate on value ?
Ebay has them 7 to 17K.
    That's quite a spread.

David , what year is the double quick set Prez ? Box and papers ? Also what's the band condition. ? Does it have all the links ? Band droop ? If you post a pick I may be able to advise you. I'm not interested to buy it but I'm willing to help a Fchat brother. Best , Kirk.

Take Kirk up on that offer.
Rolex appraisals tend two fall in two categories: the insurance /retail valuation where your watch is valued far above market value, sort of like that $12k diamond that's really worth $5k. And, the wholesale valuation where the watch is valued far below market value in an effort to buy it.

Another factor I just thought about is which bracelet it has. The heavier solid one or the older not solid bracelet and engraved interior bezel or not.

I cant find the SN (thus date ?)

Band has 24 links (including clasp/link) and is the type that hides the clasp with just the Rolex crown showing.
Polished inner segments with both outer (of 3) segments brushed.
No droop at all. The watch is basically like new.
I've been told the diamond bezel and face are aftermarket.
Has the inner green leather/wood and outer cardboard marble-look boxes.
    Only has instuction manual.
My receipt says I bought it in 01.
    Wow. Time flies.
I assume the watch was 5ish years old then so mid 90's.
    35MM case.
I'll try and post a pic but am computer infirm.

Serial is between the lugs (where the band connects).

    When was the last service?

Anyway, IMO, you are looking at your watch plus cash for a $14k FF. My guess (and it's just that) is a dealer may give you 9 on a trade. Honestly, that may be high.

Dave , it looks like the old style band based on the clasp. You should be able to get between 9-10 on a trade. It looks like a pre 2002 watch. It has all 7 screw links so all the links are there. If you can get me a serial number I can give you the exact year it was manufactured. Best , Kirk. Ps the serial number is located on the head of the watch under the 6 but the band must come off to see it.

    Thanks.
The one and only scratch on the watch is where the previous owner tried to take the band off to show me the SN. His tool slipped.
I'll take it to a dealer later.

Good idea bro , keep in mind the Rolex will hold its value much better than the Blancpain will. Food for thought.

Yeah I know but sitting in a safe for 10+ years how much "value" did I get out of it ?
    I would wear the Blanpain.
PS I have an older BP fathoms in the 40mm style that has bottomed out as far as depreciation. I watch (sorry) the market and if anything values are going up for these.
