Dog sledging in Sweden and in the Yukon.
When I was younger four trips to Alaska/Yukon
Sailing in the Mediterranian, Caribbean, Thailand
Some smaller islands like Grenade (just after Ivan), Tobago, Reunion are difficult to see.
Two times an off road tour in Botsuana.
This is something you definitely have to do before you die or you get too old!!
Forget the rest of the world.
In two weeks a sailing trip in the Caribbean starting from Martinique.

I went in the early Fall. I don't recall it being super hot. Nice breeze on the beach. I had a great time, hanging out in the Copacabana area, chatting with locals & visitors, drinking cachaca with some Irish sailors (lesson learned - sailors can out drink scientists!) & enjoying the lovely ladies on the beach. I'd avoid Carnival, but I'm not as young as I used to be, nor is my liver as tolerant of abuse...T

Tripadvisor has a pretty nice "Travel Map" function that lets you log cities/places visited, and ones you want to visit.

Places in the world that I still really want to see before I die: Vietnam, St. Petersburg, Budapest, Warsaw, Dublin, Edinburgh, Cuba, Seattle/Washington, Normandy, Nova Scotia, Alaska, Key West, maybe somewhere in South America, possibly somewhere in Africa.

Places already visited that I want to go back to with my wife and now 1yr old son in 10-16 years: Nurburgring/Rhine Valley (duh), York UK, Athens, Amsterdam.

I'd love to go with him to Tokyo, Thailand, and many other places but some things are best learning/doing/figuring out by yourself (with a helpful set of instructions of course).

I highly recommend Japan. Great people, fascinating country. Food is both great, and perhaps at least for the Western palette, sometimes curious...T

It's the next place I want to visit, but it's very very far and expensive, so it may be a while...

My pic got corrupted, no matter which browser I use, it's still messed up. Nonetheless, a lot of my travel has been to the Caribbean, can't see too well here.

I've visited many of the US states, and will be ticking Alaska off the list next year. Some European travel and Central America. I want to travel more too.

My dad got me this, I recently was motivated to put all the pins in it after he passed away a few months ago (he used to keep one like this when I was a kid). Haven't done the US yet.

This site is so cool...I always wondered how many of the 50 states I had been to...now I know, 40.

[Although I am debating counting sub 24-hour trips to KC and into Dulles area to visit investors in a few spots there qualifies as checking off Missouri and Kansas and Virginia and Maryland. Its literally true that I set foot on those states, even if I didn't see anything other than hotel rooms, restaurants, offices and town cars.]

Not sure I will hit the remaining 10 just to say "I've set foot there". Alaska and Maine (Arcadia NP) and South Dakota (Mt. Rushmore) are on my list for sure. The remaining 7 I could live without visiting.
