I know the owner is a user here, great racer, and has an awesome Miura, but don't waste your time taking Maserati or Ferrari wheels to Wheels America (http://www.fixrim.com/). I just wasted a ton of time getting the wheels to them and back for nothing to be done. They don't have the chemicals and techniques to work on the special Maserati and Ferrari wheels. Actually they could have done everything I requested, which was just lip curb rash and check if bent, but they decided not to work on the wheel at all since they couldn't do a complete job.

I talked it over with the top Discount Tire guys and they say Wheel Technologies is the way to go for our wheels. They can handle them no problem.

I went to "Wheels by Adam" over on Harry Hines a few years ago, very happy with the results. Not sure if it's still there or not, was part of a larger tire store.

Wheels by Adam has done great jobs on my wheels in past. Not sure difference between the old Ferrari wheels and what they're doing now though, but most of the standard shops can't handle them.

Ok. I have taken one 360 wheel to wheels America for refinishing and they did a great job, but only after I specified I wanted the inside of the wheel as shiny as the outside. I give them an A-. That said, I don't want to use them again if there are issues.

I have used Adam with great results. Remember, you're dealing with a rather mundane crowd of wheel finishers and you MUST be matter of fact over, and over again to get it done right.

I'll avoid WA in the future. Thx for the heads-up.

If I'm not mistaken, WA uses sanding tools to get the job done. Adam uses both--been my experience.

Over my head, but when the WA guy was explaining it sounded like they use chemicals too. Discount Tire guy was saying Wheel Technologies uses some type of electrolysis what not.

WA has done good jobs on my 328, 355 Challenge magnesium, and Mazda wheels. Something with these new wheels that is different.

Boardwalk did a good job on these same Maserati wheels last year, but they charge $225 each! Not sure who they use, not cool for me to even ask. Most wheel places are $125 each. I imagine Boardwalk is just adding their cut or wheel repair place is glossy eyed over the Ferrari dealer.

    Yeah, I pay the same.

The wholesale for dealers is between 80-90 a wheel. They gave me dealer price once, and I was happy.

Boardwalk Porsche charged me $150/wheel to repair and paint the wheels on my 911.
