So I intended all along to have my wheels painted in gloss black to match the roof. Now I am not sure as I don’t mind the way the look right now. Can someone photoshop this pic in gloss black and a satin black? Image Unavailable, Please Login
When you were showing your car as it was getting prepped- I thought to myself man that car would look even hotter with darker wheels.
I'm super ocd about having too many colors/finishes on one car ... so my vote is for painting your oem wheels gloss black to match the roof. And while you're there lower it a bit on stock springs and slap some novitec spacers on her. Then sit back and enjoy perfection. Like the TDF parked behind ya.
Definitely gloss if you want to do black. Satin won't go with anything and the wheels just becomes invisible and a mismatch. If you track or do spirited driving, think long and hard before lowering it. Should you choose to do so, make damn sure it is done on corner scales. Just lowering based on.looks can seriously impact handling in a bad way. It does not take much to offset the weight bias in the wrong direction. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Satin will be more dark gray vs. black. It is the same optional finish as on the stock wheels. It will work on your car even with the gloss black roof.
Yes gloss black to match roof. These F8’s sit up so high...look at that huge gap in the rear wheel area...wow... you can drop 20mm and be ok or install Novitec springs. I just did Novitec springs on my 488 with around a 25mm drop...car rides and handles even better than stock. Looks a lot better too
I personally would like charcoal on the wheels, but red on the roof. However, it's your car, definitely do what makes you happy. But since you asked, out the options you gave, I voted to match the wheels to the roof. I think that would look kind of hot, and mean!
Don’t paint it. I’m so sick of black wheels. I think it looks ghetto. At most, do dark grey. Just not black. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with RacerDJ. I have black wheels on one of my Corvettes and they show road/brake dust after driving for a few miles. Silver/gray will hide the dust and require fewer cleanings.
Buddy, I posted this in your other thread....but...my take and preference for your car because it has a gloss black roof, and other black details is that.... I would do gloss black wheels to tie it all in. Your wheels have such an open design that the gloss black would look best on them and the body lines of the F8 would show up even more. Very very rarely do I suggest gloss black wheels but for your car they'd be perfect.
So... Asking here you will get a myriad of answers and you will probably be left the same way you started. Go with what your gut tells you. The car will look beautiful, nearly with every possible color combination. The beauty of it all is that, if you don't like it, you could still powder coat or paint them in another color. Those are my two cents.
So I couldn't find a red F8 with black wheels but found the closes two (488 and a Pista). I think these are Satin as well. They are hard to find in gloss black. (I think these are Satin). I have heard gloss is coming back so maybe you should go the gloss black route. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I would go with Satin. You’ll see more definition in the wheels. Gloss black tends to lose the detail.
it was just a TIC comment to say that the F8 stood out quite a little too much or didn't belong in that crowd (of other cars).
I agree, tired of black wheels. Connotates radical teenager to me. They take the eye right to them and the gorgeous body gets cheated... The dark grey I do like...
