Gents, What easy to get paint colors have people been using to duplicate the ferrari factory silver wheel color? I have seen: BMW polar silver Lexus mercury metallic
To hear the vendors, "all" silver wheels are the same color, so you can get a can of Wurth from Griot's (if they still carry it) or any number of other options. I'm going to follow this thread closely to see if the experience of the crowd backs this up! I'm really interested in making the 360 wheels on my 308 darker... Suggestions for that are welcome, too!
FBB- Ferrari 101/C is Argento (silver) Metallic B/C, PPG code 36520. Any auto paint shop can supply it. It is the same color used on silver calipers, as well. Not specific to 2004 cars, mine just happens to be a 2004 so I saved it. Plus I needed a PPG code for my new yellow MovIt calipers. Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dupli-color "Quicksilver 262 Suburu" paint (part number is SU 01345) is a very, very close match available at AutoZone and others
I've heard the same from Restoration guys for years. Argent Silver, or as the color chart above calls it... Argento. If Griot's doesn't have it anymore, you can get it from Eastwood. Rick
I got these from another poster to add to the silver wheel color database: Factory wheel color code is PPG 36520. imron clear coat the color is a lexus silver, as it has more sparkle (metallic) than the factory color, but its so close that you would have to sit them side by side to tell...
Unfortunately, the Quicksilver 262 Suburu" paint (part number is SU 01345) is only available in the paint stick version. It is not available in a spray can. (At least I can't find it.)
