So I bought a set of new factory optional forged wheels for my F12 (my car has the stock cast wheels) from a vendor here and wanted FOH to mount some tires on them when my next yearly is due in March. FOH declined to perform the work since I did not buy the wheels from them. I also requested to use Michelin PS4S, with a change to 265's in the front, which they declined to do as well, since they are not a factory tire or fitment. I have been a Discount Tire customer for the last 20+ years, but don't know if I feel comfortable with them doing the work. Any other options in the Houston area (preferably South of town) other than the Indie shops that are booked currently? Thanks in advance!

I have used Discount Tire to mount and take off tires on my Novitec wheels over the years without a problem

Thanks. So you took the wheels only, not the car, correct?

Same here -- I take the wheels/tires off myself, and take them to my Discount Tire shop for mounting new tires. Make an appointment online (and I tell them in the appointment notes that I'm just bringing in the dismounted wheels/tires) -- IME, once they know "Ferrari" from the appointment information, they arrange for one of their better/more experienced techs to do the work. Also, remove your valve stem caps to keep for yourself (they tend to put on what they think are groovy metal chrome valve caps, but I prefer my just plain black plastic valve stem caps).

100%. I use Will exclusively. Comes to your house or work. He knows what he is doing and he cares. He has mounted 10+ sets for me. From 35" tires to racing slicks.
