Wow, I **almost** bought a pair of Affliction jeans today for $165. Thankfully I came to my senses last moment and bought a pair of nice Levis 527s instead for $40. WTF was I thinking? I had them on the counter, Amex out of the wallet...whew that was close!!

But these were freaking cool - great to wear at my DJ gigs.

LOVE their shirt designs, too. Now I've lost so much weight and put on so much muscle, these shirts are sweet.

Ive found that the moment you come to except the amount of jeans they go up another 20. I went to express to get a new pair of jeans I have all express jeans.

I got a pair tried them on then looked at the price $90, I had a tough time at 70 before. So I think the price of jeans is getting crazy 90 may be the tops. but I see others that are just outrageous, I think 7 jeans are allot.

Funny, I just got back from Nordstroms and briefly looked at their jeans. Some were ~$200. I had just came from Banana Republic where I bought a pair of theirs for $80 and felt mildly ripped off. I used to buy Levis and the like, but I prefer the really soft material and BR is the closest I have found without paying highway-robbery prices.

I do have to admit, the really expensive designer jeans look good... but I wouldn't drop two hundo on 'em.

i buy my designer jeans when they go to the outlet stores.

no sense in spending $200+ for jeans imo, and i've got 'em all..rock n' republic, paper denim, antik, seven, true religion, joes, citizens of humanity... -_- when they go out to off 5th and Nordstrom rack they're about $70-90. win!

I see True Religion down at the Saks Off 5th outlet. I like those, too.

I hate spending money on clothes......... Ther perfect depreciating asset..... I leave that for my wife.

I try to buy sale items of good quality clothing lines. I buy off season etc..... I like jeans... simple jeans... I don't want a lot of embroidery or design and I don't want to get ripped off because some designer guy with a car collection charges 10x manufacturing costs.

I think I used to buy Calvin Cline (sp?) for $40... When I started seeing jean prices around $100 I knew I was being scammed.

If you haven't noticed, T-shirts are pushing $50-$70 lately for some types. I'm in the wrong business!

I've spent 310 for a pair of TR jeans. They fit and look perfect. Big T's with white stitching. Remix you should look around, maybe online for the red label affliction shirts. They are really really cool. Designed after historical tatoo artists from around the world. I have two horiyoshi's, the yellow and the white.
My absolute favorite shirts are yellow man. I have not sprung for one of these yet though. Serious dollars.

Actually Dillards carries them. I found a cool one yesterday but it wasn't in my size. I need to try stuff on before I will buy.

I do like their shirts. Very menacing looking.

$45 is the most I've ever spent on Jeans. I think they were "western" style 20X brand. They lasted a while.

Along the same lines I ALMOST spent $200 on a pair of leather prada loafers with rubber soles the other day. I really liked the leather texture, super smooth.

I did the same thing you did, was carrying them to the cashier and whimped out. I'm not kidding when I say I didn't want to hear the "oooo, dave bought prada shoes" catcalls from imaginary friends and family. I'm a little neurotic that way I guess.

I called my sister and asked her what the most she'd ever spent on a pair of shoes. I decided I was NOT going to spend more on a pair of shoes than my sister ever had.

She said $50. Fifty. I was a bit surprised. I thought she had more expensive tastes than that. Especially since I remembered I had paid $135 on a pair of Doc Martens about 9 years ago, and I still wear them today. My sister said "hey the pope wears prada shoes" which helped me alleviate the "guilt" instilled by 12 years of Catholic school.

I'm going to go back and buy the pradas.

I buy my jeans at LL Bean for a whopping $40.

I am not a big fashion person-- I buy my black oxford shoes at the Rockport outlet at 2 pairs for $120.

I am very cheap for my own clothes. Cars and watches, not so much :)

IMO jeans are something to spluge on. I wear them almost everyday and finding a great pair is difficult.

Diesel's and 7's are my favorite. Most retail for about $200. I bought a pair of Versace jeans for $400+ once, that one I regret because I hardly ever wear them. Banana Republic definately has my favorite jeans for >$100.

I think anything other than a pair of Levis, LL Bean jeans and the like just look wrong on a guy.

IMO the whole "affliction" thing is a little played out now.......but whatever floats your boat. Here is Joe Rogan ripping some guy wearing an affliction shirt, pretty funny stuff.

i've paid b/w $100 and $200 for some Guess, Seven (for all mankind), A/X, Versace and D&G jeans. The Sevens turned out to be the worst...the jeans actually stretched some to be bigger than when i bought them. the others are great....A/X is probably my favorite jeans company.

i've never bought any but many friends swear by True Religion and those are around $300 usually.

and btw Affliction is totally played out here in LA....but i gotta say i do like those jeans you posted.

I'm somewhat out of touch stylewise, but getting back in touch these days . I'd never heard of Affliction before Friday and I honestly thought - at first - they were a knock off of Monarchy (something I had heard of). I have a handful of graphic, gothic-type tees and jeans I wear to my gigs. I just got a new club residency here locally and I need some more clothes...that's how I ended up shopping and running into those at the store.

The jeans were at my local Dillards. $165 was what the tag said. I really dig the pockets.

DG's is NYC-with tax and hemming it was almost $350. Except for a pair of Sevens, I am a Lands End and low end Levi's kind of guy. My wife and I got caught up in the moment (and the jeans fit really, really well). Still have both pairs and wear them, but unlikely to do it again.
