A close friend of mine, 42 years old have been recently having some issues. Some days, he wakes up all fresh and good to go to work. Some days, he has dizziness, no motivation, and all tired out.

He's been to the doc, cholesterol all ok, not a diabetic, and he's pretty active and works out often. Since he's a hairstylist, has this got to do anything with his long hours of standing?

Or could be due to the fact that he was a heavy smoker, about 2 weeks ago, he bought an e cig, and effective quit smoking now. Is it possible as quitting cigs suddenly is one of the effects?

He's been to a few doctors, but none so far can tell whats the problem.

Probably a combination. What about breathing those fumes in the salon all day?

Get tested for allergies too. They can cause a lot of problems.

Could be depression, or, if he works out very intensely or too frequently, overtraining or dehydration. I'm guilty of overtraining from time to time, and that's one of the ways my body lets me know I've done too much. Also, not enough H2O can make me feel like I'm coming down with the flu!

I find that if a person gives up one drug, in this case nicotine, there is an adjustment period in brain chemistry wit the symptoms you mention.

The same goes for caffeine...or sugar!

+1. Not saying it is THE issue of course, but going from heavy smoker to non-smoker will definitely have a strong effect on body chemistry, resulting in the symptoms mentioned.
