We have a nissan owners club event going on, August 24th at Nissans headquarters in Farmington Hills. I was wondering if you would be interested in bringing your car to that event??????

That Vector is Amazing!!!!!!!! I am a huge Vector fan and have been lucky enough to have seen 4 in person. But the white one blows them all away!! Thanks for sharing the pics and also the history behind it. As a Vector admirer I really appreciate it!

Nice to see photos of AWX3,AWX3R and W8 #002.

Jerry continues to play with that new abortion he is trying to call a Vector (excuse me I just threw up a little in my mouth). But at least he continues to take out the prototypes and Will's car 002.

A while ago there was a guy in cincinnati with 2 of the M12's. One was yellow I believe and the other had the american flag paint scheme. Rediculous looking cars. Word on the street he tried to buy the company, but then some legal issues came up with his methods of investing, and suddenly he and all his cars dissapeared....

Kurt will be able to answer this question in great detail(prefered request, but by all means anyone with knowledge reply) . What are the differences in these M12's from being just a rebodied Diablo?

 

It has a getrag 5 speed transmission that in 1st 3rd and 5th, the drivers hands are mashed against the radio controls; and the engine is rotated 180 degrees to a diablo. Other then that... its a rebodied diablo built in the Chrysler ownership days

 

The M12 is just that. The Indonesians shipped 2WD Diablo chassis, interiors and engines to the US to be modified. All they did in Florida was cut the front frame section forward of the front wheels off and replace it with extension that would support the longer nose for the M12. They also removed the Diablo transmission from the engine and spun the engine 180 degrees in the chassis and mated it to a Getrag 5 speed transaxle. They created a chopper gun fiberglass body that kinda, sorta, almost, maybe looked like the AWX3 show car and then modified the dash and slightly modified the upper portion of the interior, A pillars, head liner etc to cover the fiberglass of the M12 roof line.
The car is just a bastardized two wheel drive Diablo.

 

Hope I don't offend anyone, but I've always been a fan of the original, sharp edged model.

I recall seeing a more aerodynamic version at a Councours in Santa Barbara circa 1993?, but it had the same interior as the original model. That one was okay, but again, if I got my hands on one... it would be the original. It's just so dramatic and original!

 

A guy that I know (used car dealer) in town has 2 vectors he bought at an auction I was at a couple years ago, one is running and one isn't, the one that runs is yellow, the one that doesn't run (I believe) is painted like an american flag...he bought them from a government DEA seizure auction..and has recently put them on display in his showroom

 

Interesting how, as predicted by a few here, the original post of this thread never materialized with any pics. I didn't see any pics of a Rolls of any sort from the "save me 5 spots" Cinnci run either. Just another hit and run poser ...

 

The mods found it was 3 users on one name. They banned all 3, including the CInternational who claimed to have the cars.
