Yes, well yellow I guess. Called Royal Belgian White Pearl. Great flavor and all, but a little small sized for me. Fresh oysters from Washington state waters.
Going to drive my mom to her friends for a visit. Mom doesn't drive anymore. On the way home going to stop at Swiss Chalet. One of the last locations in BC, its a chain, more popular in Ontario. Rotisserie chicken mainly.
This one I just did cold. Sliced 'em up and put 'em in with vinegar, salt and pepper and some spices. Was gonna put in fresh dill but forgot to buy it! Put 'em in a big baggie and let 'em chill. They'll probably be better today!
Are there any locations of Swiss Chalet in the US? Pepper weekend continues. Made a roasted pepper salsa. Used Anaheim and jalapeño peppers for a bit more zip. This recipe. http://www.wrightfamilytable.com/roasted-anaheim-pepper-salsa/ The roasted poblano peppers I made last week were such a hit with the missus that she went to Kroger and bought more. Roasted in the broiler. Then I peel the blistered skin. Slice. Deseed and stuff. Image Unavailable, Please Login Stuffed. Mexican cheese blend over the top. Into 400 F oven for 15 min. Now that you're a seasoned pro, what are your thoughts on pellet smoke/grill? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
I love it. It's still nice to have a charcoal pit I think, but you can do everything with this. It just requires electricity unfortunately.

Swiss Chalet did have US locations, but think they all closed. Here I think its down to two locations. In Ontario they are all over the place and popular. Our burger chain here is expanding to Ontario. I don't think Triple O's will make it there.
It was easy to see why it lit up. A good layer had built up. Guess it's been longer than I thought it had been.
What I was supposed to do yesterday. Just grabbed herbs from the pantry. Meat is 5 small blade steaks. Veggie rice added at the end. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm getting Mexican again tonight. The restaurant over billed my credit card by $300. They are giving me a free dinner for my trouble. Might as well do it tonight. Not sure what I'll have.

Did a steak fajita. It was better over Sats burrito. Tonight is sushi night, going to try another place.
Well, I couldn't wait and ordered a grow tent to replace my small cabinet. I found some 5 gallon buckets outside from my beer brewing days. Gonna eventually put those to use.
Sounds like a lot of new places to explore at your new digs, Max. Image Unavailable, Please Login Costco prime strip steaks on the grill. Alas, old age has overcome us. ☹️Neither wife nor I could finish ours. Dog enjoyed the spoils. T
Nice! In keeping it low tech. Image Unavailable, Please Login These little guys will hopefully be dinner in 4 or so months. I took over a small corner of our bonus room. Small space heater & heating mat to keep where the peppers are in 75 - 80 F range. Plants in foreground are tomatoes and jalapeños from local farm store. Had great luck with their plants last year. One is a Hungarian wax pepper, since I don't think the ones we've been growing from seed will amount to anything. T
Yummy stuff folks! ^^ I have a lot of catching up to do. Been busy (Ania finally was able to immigrate on Feb 14 and we got married on Feb 21 and a house construction project and winter...busy!) But, starting to eat a bit better now that she is here and I'm not a depressed bachelor living in the frozen tundra. First up, we were very surprised to find a very (very) good Indian place in Idaho falls of all places. We have been 2x since we found it recently.
