Monday is Canadian thanksgiving. The co op store has prime rib on sale. I have one, but bought before the pup. I'm going to get another one and make it puppy friendly. As in no infusing garlic into the roast, think dogs are allergic to garlic. She'll have the bones from that one.

Yes, no garlic for pooches. Do a bit of looking about on the web there are things like common plants and foods that are toxic like garlic, avocados, grapes, etc. Xylitol in some sugar free foods and gum is a major no-no. African violets, lily, ivy, etc.

Thanks for the list............... Cherries are also supposed to be bad for dogs. I had a female Rottweiler that would pick them off the tree and eat them. So far I've stepped on her twice, so don't want to add food poisoning.

Tonight was leftover burritos. We had a little leftover ground wagyu, some leftover pinto beans, and some veggies in the crisper getting long in the tooth. So, it's three popular burrito concepts in one burrito!

This wine. Didn't notice the McLaren appellation until after it was open.

Nothing cuter than a sleeping pup.

Dogs LOVE cheese. I don't know what it is, but they love cheese. Our spoiled little cheese connoisseur prefers a good sharp cheddar.

I'm waiting for the family to get back on Chinese take out tonight. We are doing the prime rib tomorrow. I'm craving sweet and sour chicken balls. If not, think I'll get fish tacos from the new taco shop I've found.

I love a nice sweet sour pickle with a tapas style dinner. Especially if you have something like boquerones.

Rice and beans, with a little fried Spam. White and brown rice, sofrito, salsa, black beans, which I had leftover from a week or so ago.

And to go-with, something I don't think we've drank in a year of Sundays. The wife was shopping at Costco and bought a bottle of Riunite. Gray beards among us may remember this stuff was huge in the 70s - 80s. I made a sangria out of it with some Remy Martin cognac, a little fresh squeezed lime juice & Pellegrino fizzy water.

I did the fish tacos........... Had sashimi and rolls for lunch. I got Bella her own order of salmon sashimi. She loves the salmon, isn't crazy about tuna for some reason.

Our dog will eat any kind of fish, crustacean or mollusk. I did fish tacos about a week ago - think it was cod - and did an extra filet, no spices, for the pooch. Then I divide it into little baggies, freeze them. Defrost as needed, a little of that on top of her kibble, and she's a happy camper...T

Prime rib cap steak, broiled lobster tail and potato's au gratin. Sorry, scarfed it down before I remembered to take a pic. Washed it down with a 2013 Cab sav from Lodi I bottled a few years back.

It was chewy. I don’t think you have to pre cook baby octopus. From what I’ve seen, most sushi places only flash fry, which is why they usually do calamari better than most. 45 sec at 375* is what I was told and what I do at home.

All kinds of idea's on cooking octopus. Add a cork to cooking liquid...Mario Batali...or braise until tender then allow to cool in the hot liquid until room temp...etc...Think I might give it a go with baby octo and then fry when done. I'll let you know....also sous vide works good too.

Sounds good. Do you have the grapes shipped to you, and then you make into wine and bottle?
