Family member just got a 355 and I'd like to get them a small, Ferrari-related gift. Any ideas? thanks
A Hot Wheels (or better) model of their model of Ferrari for their desk... so they don't miss it so bad when they can't drive it.
Like the model idea. Maybe go to Cavallino (FChat sponsor) and get a UT or HW 355 painted to match friend's car exactly.
That's a good one! My Father-in-law got a model, assembled it and painted it to spec. I thought it was GREAT! DL
surprised no one thought of this: a gas gift card. Since he's no longer got $$ for gas, at least now he can drive the car.
A MINI Cooper S for when the 355 is in the shop? ;-) If you had said a BIG gift I'd have said a 456M for when the 355 was in the shop. ;-) -dq
Go to Cavallino Models and tell them you want an exact replica of your relative's car made... They do superb work, neither you nor your family member will be disappointed... By the way, welcome to FerrariChat and don't forget to tell your Ferrari-owning relative about this site...
If newer car script for Forza magazine If 70's or earlier script to Cavallino magazine. The owner might already subscribe, might have to snoop around..
Wow, 14 responses already. Great forum. I was thinking about a license plate frame, but I like all the ideas, especially the F Club of America. I'll check that out and see if I can sign him up. I know he was going to I know the 355 is notorious for being unreliable. However, I have heard the 98s are better on reliability. Hopefully he gets lucky. I've been driving around in it and the suspension light flickered on...we're just going to pretend we never saw it...lol
Get him a Ferrari Flag. My brother got me one, with the SF shield on it, for my birthday and I love it. I have it hanging in the garage, on the side I park my 348 on. You can find them for about $20.
I agree with the flag. I put mine up AFTER every win. I learned not to put it up prior back in the '80s. You can wear it around the house too.The Mrs. is delighted to see it hanging from my flagpole on raceday.
You should get him an M3, i drove one today, what a piece of metal. I touched the throttle and nearly thought i flew through the window. Then i tried heel-toe and the pedals were so poorly placed i nearly blew out the transmission on the highway. I think a piston is laying near the lifetime old orchard exit.
The mechanic's business card and a reliable roll back wrecker is the correct answer.............. Speedy308 for President Uhhh...m3 dude this is a fcar chat site did u make a WRONG TURN somewhere ??????????????????????????????
