Finally got this back from service a few days ago. 9 weeks. It does look great though. Ignore the reflections. I'm going to try the section sponsor, watchUwant, for my next service and purchase.

    I have Sinned again!

My first one was a chrono, an older Lemania 5100 based Spacelab watch. This one is the U1, a little heavy and chunky, but the legibility cannot be beat. No need to put on reading glasses in low light situations! And made with steel from a U-Boat!

Nice! I too have the low light reading glasses issue. This certainly would fix that.

the anti-reflective coating also makes it look like there is no crystal. Best I have seen. Freaky German quality.

Not pearl. It is like a brushed/machined stainless steel.

This has been of my grails, mostly due to a conversation in this thread: A watch from my birth year!

Without divulging too much...this is an Omega from the late 1960s. It has a chrono, but only a 60 second one. Pressing the pusher once starts the second hand. Pressing it again....resets it back to zero. So, while it is not useful for measuring long periods of time the design is something that appeals to me, inner rotating 24hr bezel included.

It came on a metal band, but I have put a Hamilton Pan Europ leather strap on it, instead.
