My AP200 says it can for some models but it doesn’t support ferrari. I’m pretty sure an x431 launch can but I’m looking for something in the $200 range.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

Thinkdiag - best bang for buck .. software like x431

So if the x431 has it I am pretty sure thinkdiag will

I don't have in front of me .. but i recommended to someone who is on vacation for another week ,,i can ask him to check

Or order on amazon and send back if you don't like .. it is a great piece of equipment even if it doesn't have steering calibration

I have the launch x431 and foxwell .. but won't be near my car for a while to check either one

    https://www.amazon.com/Thinkdiag-Bluetooth-Bidirectional-Diagnostic-Functions/dp/B08YWTJY4F/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?gclid=CjwKCAjw_ISWBhBkEiwAdqxb9gHrbXQSvpumaCEWcwCjP2K0KjtAfDbievhPg-SrOP9Pe-JI3LR-fRoCxAMQAvD_BwE&hvadid=469794405491&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9003674&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=1070871066572239876&hvtargid=kwd-969597239473&hydadcr=7542_9880945&keywords=thinkdiag+obd2+scanner+bluetooth&qid=1656872933&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyQ0U4UDlORUtPQllDJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzU5NDYyMlc3SzhVT1hVR1lURSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzI1NjIzNTVUNUEwSzk0RjBUJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Sorry for the multiple replies but I powered up omy launch and it has Ferrari listed under Service Functions .. but of course It needs to be connected to a real car to get any further .. 12v just got me to menu

I would take the chance and order it now :)

It is listed in the 431 manual but only works on some cars, i will try on my 430 tomorrow to see if it connects to it

I asked @RonScuderia to test and he got all the way to the point of actually doing it so it should work ..

    Corey

I know you like to do odds and ends on the car and look at issues before bringing to shop

The thinkdiag is very very powerful for 120dollars for one year

So which thinkdiag did he try the Steering Angle Sensor calibration on (well up to the actual point of calibration)? There are a few models I see on Amazon.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

No he tried the x431 which the thinkdiag uses the same software .. so most likely it will work
If you want someone with thinkdiag ( link provided above ( 2nd post) I can have that tested july 10th -
But i think you will be extremely happy with the link I provided - just know it is for one year

If I didn't have a few launches, foxwell, ODIS etc I would pick it up as well

    Probably take a few minutes

I am in that area and would appreciate it. Not sure if I’ll need it yet. I want to tighten the steering nut because I have a little play in the wheel. I know it’s not the knuckle as I did that about a year ago. Everything I have been reading is that if you do a little tightening on the nut you may need the steering angle sensor calibrated. So knowing you can help sometime this week is awesome. I’ll tighten the nut tomorrow or Tuesday.

I’d still like to know if the $120 thinkdiag works. I have the Autel but is seems to only be good for scanning and minor stuff.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

Just let me know ..I am here whenever you need me

The Launch works. I've performed the procedure a number of times.

Well, I tightened up the nut on the splines on the steering column. What a transformation. But looks like I need a steering calibration, the CST/Brake light goes off right after you start driving. @flash32 I'll pm you my mobile phone #. Let me know when you are available this week.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

@CoreyNJ - I had the same problem, Brake light would off after about 15 miles every time I drove. Used thinkdiag to reset the steering angle and has been fine so far.

I dont remember the exact steps but it was straight forward. I think I went to the actuator function and reset the steering sensor and that was about it.

There isn't a selection under the brand Ferrari but it looks like it is under the service function menu ..

The road wheels must be pointing dead ahead when the procedure is performed - I say road wheels because it's possible that the steering wheel wasn't centered correctly after tracking/alignment.

Corey, I thought I would go and try it out and realize my software is called Diagzone Pro - not sure how different it is to them though looks very similar. Couldnt run it as it says my license has run out which is very strange.

Corey, Will take a look at the actual software tomorrow, I do remember doing a reset and not a learn

Just to close this thread out. The Thinkdiag works but does throw an error that it couldn’t complete the procedure but it actually does. This is on iOS. Didn’t test Android since my Samsung tablet isn’t compatible with the software. Also if you can’t find the option it’s under the “ABS system” module under special
    functions.

Hey Corey, do you happen to have any pics of the steering nut that you tightened up?

I've got some play in my steering and plan to do same

    Thank you!
