Leather is skin. It just needs to stay moist. Any decent hand lotion on your leather works fine. Forget all of the fancy, high-dollar potions.

Lots of great replies! Thanks! I've only had my car less than a year but it is a 2006 and looks like the seats may have been re-dyed, at least in some parts like driver's bolster, etc. They're also a little shiny like I guess they come stock. I have plenty of time so will try Leatherique. Best place to buy?

Currently, purchasing from Leatherique directly seems to be the lowest price. I would recommend the 16oz special to start (I used up my 8oz the first time and had to purchase more).

Esoteric Car Care has an excellent how-to video as noted by tvg is post #10. I’ve dealt with them a couple times and their response has been excellent.

A caveat is that I’ve seen people with re-dyes have issues. Apparently the quality of the re-dye is a factor with poorer re-dyes leaching out, but I don’t know enough to provide guidance on how to identify the quality of a re-dye. Hopefully someone else who can will chip in and provide the info you need before you start.

Agreed. I haven’t had the issue personally but I’ve read enough about poor Re-dye that I wouldn’t chance it until I got an expert second opinion

I’ve used swissvax but I have to say i was a bit disappointed.
i Have used leatherique on both 911s (sorry,,,) and my Ferrari, and it has worked supremely well.

I know there will be so many sceptics with what I am about to say. but I use this technique on all my vintage Ferraris, new Ferraris, my RR, my Bentley, all my cars and it keeps the leather perfectly matt with no shine at all, removes any dirt or stains, also NEVER dry's out the leather. removes all the oils that make the leather shinny. 409, is the best. I rub it in, wipe clean with microfiber towel. Be sure to try in a small area if the leather is old, but new leather NO PROBLEM.

This leather was installed 10 year ago. I keep it perfect like this with 409.

If they have been worked on make sure whatever you put on is not too hash to react with it, if I'm dying I use the matt finish from ltt, let that go off then come over the top on the whole area some time later, the ltt products are the best, they are specialists in leather so head and shoulders above any of these other brands that cover the whole spectrum of car products

I find that you do not need to condition new leather, somehow it works perfectly

If you have original leather on the TR it will not work, only works on new leather.
