For a change, you're wrong Greg. This car is smaller than the MKX or 420G. It was only sold in the U.S. in 1967. It's the offspring of the MKII 3.8 but with a some more weight (unfortunately). On the other hand, it has a bigger, higher torque 4.2 liter engine, independent suspension from the E type (instead of MKII leaf springs) and better brakes. It'll cruise all day at 100 mph and handle the twisties surprisingly well. It's half the price of a MKII 3.8.....It's a '67 Jaguar 420.

Greg - don't feel bad. The 420 lifted its front grill off the MKX (and its rear off the original S type)..........Jordan

Cool - I look fwd to seeing it Jordan. Remind me to show you the aforementioned sales catalog. Its uncanny how similar the two models are. I just thought it came down to variation between years, ie series 1, 1.5 etc.

Yellow Rover behind it looks fun too.

Greg - The 420G is the offspring of the MkX. 420G dimensions: 202"L/75"W/54.5"H. 3 SU 4235cc XK engine.

The 420 is built on the S-type Chassis and is the offspring of the Mk2. 420 dimensions: 187.8"L/66.7"H/54.5"H. 1 SU 4235cc XK engine. Syncromesh gearbox.

I have to measure things out in my garage upstate this weekend (may have to move the fridge to fit the car). My wife & I plan to fly up to Martha's Vineyard in early July to pick up the 420 (I already have title) and then spend a few days touring the Vineyard with the Jag. Then, we'll take the ferry to the Cape, and drive her back to upstate NY.

    Then we'll go for a drive Greg...........Jordan

    Have a fun weekend!

Now that's hillarious. Nice to see the bouncing blue Lambo once again. I think it's been very boring since you've been gone. You've got lots of catching up to do. A couple of guys really took to bashing you knowing that you couldn't defend yourself.....
