It's nothing in particular, according to an article I read that interviewed the animators. They wanted it to be a generic racecar
The Superbird AKA The King was awesome Too bad there was no Corvette, Viper, or Lambo, an AM spy car would have been cool too
I loved the Ferrari in the end....Ka-CHOW! ! ! ! ! lol....I think I enjoyed the movie more than my nephews and nieces we took to see it....
Something about the paint scheme with contrasting scallops has that effect. Might also be a tie in to the 'I fell in love' 'Oh, a Corvette?' 'No...'
The movie was really good. I was glad to see a kids movie that did not promote some liberal agenda. One of the funniest things to me was the ricers, especially the one with all the wings. that was great!
I just thought he was supposed to be some type of Nascar car. Nevertheless, the movie was great. Jay Limo! Lol. I loved Luigi and Guido, they were hilarious. I was suprised Michael Schumacher actually did the voice for the Ferrari at the end.
Was that actually Micheal Schumacher who did the voice over? That part of the movie was the best. I think I was the only one clapping in the audience when that happened. Pretty sad no one knows anything about Micheal.
I saw a special on TV about the making of it. They had Richard Petty, & Paul Newman on it. I was surprised to hear Mario's voice. Michael S is in the credits. Was Thunder based on Dale Earnhardt ?
Yea he reminded me alot of Dale, at least the look of the car. Lightning reminded me of Jeff Gordon. The movie was alot better than i thought it was going to be, but i guess thats b/c im a car freak like the rest of you all.
That was the FIRST thing that came to mind when I saw that car! Mustache, correct body style for his early NASCAR glory days, "Intimidator" attitude, etc. Great movie - definitely going to buy it on DVD.
HOLY COW!! I did not realize that MS was the voice of the last Ferrari! WOW, we had to leave right as the credits started rolling because my woman's 6 year old had to go potty really bad.
I was wondering if it might have been Harry Gant, but he was not that ruthless....He did drive a car of that era though........
Saw it yesterday, was Amazing. Hilarious, all that good stuff. What they did w/ the ricers was perfect, having them drive in and out of traffic like that; because we know they all do that.
Great movie! I was rolling at Luigi and Guido. That one will surely be in the collection, and I may get the kids a copy too. "Do you know many Ferrari?"
