I'm torn between the Ducati 998 and Monster. There is a guy that lives just up the street from me who has both and he rides them all the time so I see them a lot. I just cant make up my mind.

For me it's got to be my 1981 Ducati 900SS. Would never sell it. Probably never get rid of the 888SPO either.

Mine is actually red with gold mags. Pretty neat history. The bike was actuall owned and built by Merlin Plummly. Winningest crew chief in AMA history.
He's now chief engineer at HRC. The motor is about 1000cc, Imola cams big dellortos, and pulls like hell. I've got all his hand written notes from the motor build. Always puts a smile on my face.

    Darrell.

Of the current production bikes that is the daddy IMO... it just looks stunning :D
Got to say though that the Britten 1000 is the best bike I have ever got up close and personal with. Saw 2 in New Zealand last December and they are stunning :D

If we want to go for classic bikes though you can't beat the Indian Chief for sheer presence and sense of occasion every time you see one!

    wow, thats a hard one....

this is going to be the most boring answer here... but....

    my 2002 FZ1.

yep pretty "boring". But, I can ride it allllll day long, its comfy, it puts out plenty of power, good torque, with the suspension mods I've done on it handles well enough for anything up to a A Group trackday pace, its been stone reliable (and holds that reputation for many many miles).

all of that adds up to my favorite bike.

there are sexier bikes, and I have faster bikes... but if I could only have one the FZ1 would be it.

Well I guess my user name might clue people in on the brand... as for favorite bike, that's tough one. Not sure I can narrow it down to just one...

The 996 is one of them for sure, along with a few of the old Ducati singles like the 125 Sport. But I also like bikes from an old Cyclone board track racer up to the current MV Agusta.

I'm a little partial to the 998RS myself, since I own one from the factory team's 2002 campaign. It's probably the greatest track toy I've ever used. Ever.

This one is the 996 as I couldn't find any good pics of the 998 on this computer.
