Hi all, This is not Ferrari related as this connector is used on Lamborghini, VW and Audi. I am looking for source for both the male tab housing and the female connector housing. This connector could be used various places ... e.g., brake pad sensor, oil pressure sensor, etc. I contacted VW but they did not seem to have a p/n for the individual connector itself. Mostly part of another assembly. Any help appreciated. Steve Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks for giving me the links, but none of them proved fruitful ... VW part number ... for $21 for a set of 10 pair, I am giving this one a try. Steve
This (the righthand part) looks at least nearly identical with the brake pad contact connector on my everyday car, Mercedes GLK. I remember, because I changed pads just last weekend. Are you sure that both parts in your photo belong to one another?
I have found that they are commonly used for brake pad sensor and each housing (male and female) encapsulates the mating part. I expect to protect the contacts from moisture and dirt. It has taken some doing, but I found these photos of VW part numbers (shown on photo). As they appear the same on your MB, it is likely they are manufactured by a company that supplies both VW and MB. But I cannot find what vendor that might be. In my search, I found that a company in China sells them pretty cheaply and they cross reference the same VW part number ... so for $20 including shipping I have ordered 20 pairs of them. They are more than likely knock offs of the original, but I expect they will function OK. The reason I want them is to make some cable adapters for the Lamborghini to connect to the Forza Exhaust Bypass Valve Controller. The Forza controller uses connectors by Tyco which are commonly used on Ferrari, Maserati, BMW, Porsche, Corvette, Camaro and others. I guess Lambo's use what VW is using (stands to reason). And I expect the same might be for Audi's implementation of exhaust bypass valves. Steve Image Unavailable, Please Login
MB has another variant also: http://x.cloudsdata.net/9l/images/products/large/53369c656c4f0_581379.jpg (MERCEDES KLASSE A B C CLC CLK CLS) You would, of course also need the complementary part. These appears even better to me, with respect to the protection against water, because of the triple sealing lips design.
Scour thru TE connectivity, that's probably the most common connector mfg for German cars. Newark and Mouser stock TE connectors. As a place to start it's more then likely a JPT terminal i.e. junior power timer. Connectors: Terminals and Connectors for Automotive and Heavy-Duty Vehicles | TE Connectivity
I have scoured high and low through Mouser and DigiKey. Those specific VW connectors may be in there, but damned if I can find them. Our Ferrari's use mostly Tyco / Amp. Pretty easy to find those bad boys. Steve
That is a Bosch part. There's a guy on rennlist that puts together big orders for Bosch stuff (apparently old P-Cars suffer gremlins too, who knew!?!) I'll see if I can track him down. Well, if those connectors I ordered from China that cost $21 for 10 pair, including the pins don't work out, I will have to go with the $16 for each excluding the pins. Steve
far easier to sift thru TE directly then mouser, digi etc.. TE sorts by various properties, only catch is knowing what each is and what they mean. I've yet to figure out any reasoning behind many of the search terms. what exactly is a power timer and what's that got to with a connector? Comes down to time in the end, what's it worth. I think they know that too, make it obscure and nonsensical and who's going to sort thru it?
