    Greetings:

Anyone know about the status of the upcoming MV 1000cc F5 ??

    Ryan and MDSTRIB:

What is the difference between the 916/996/998 and MV F4 750 ?

Just impressions between the two. Obviously the Duck makes
    the power down low.

MV: Exclusive, no torque, therefore need to rev, not as sorted out by a long shot (i.e. fairing melts, back wheel brake master boils out etc). On full boil the engine really screams (like the proverbial ripping silk) It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to ride it at 10,000 and not smile ear to ear.

Duc: Common, plenty torque (for non-gixxer/R1 guys anyway) very dependable and well sorted out. The front suspenders are the best part of the whole package, VERY confidence inspiring. You can hit big ripples really cranked over and not toss it. The rumble and clattering dry clutch are the best sound in all of motorcycling IMHO

Biggest difference is TURN-IN. The MV drops into corners so fast you almost dump it in slow speed intersections. A real handful til you get the program. The Duc is the opposite. It is stable and actually needs good muscle to push it thru the really tight stuff (at the 24.5 degree head angle).

There is no question in my mind (having had both) the Duc is the real deal and the MV is a trophy.
