I'm not up on the boating world, but I was wondering what many would consider to be "the Ferrari" of boats? I suppose to have similar characteristics to a Ferrari, it would be: 1) fairly exclusive 2) fast 3) seating for a few (as opposed to a super-yacht that can hold 100+ people) As to a manufacturer of something like that, I could only guess. I have heard people talk very affectionately about the old wooden-hulled Chris Craft boats. I suppose those might equate to an old 50s or 60s era Ferrari (in style, not speed). But my question is more to do with modern equipment. Not quite Enzo level, maybe a notch or two removed.... say: the boating equivalent to a 360 or a 575? Thanks- Mike
about 2 years ago, some ferrari dealer in seattle had a boat that they said was made by ferrari. it was a red cigarette boat with a huge scuderia ferrari logo on the top. but if i remember correctly, donza is a good boat maker.
What about those boats that look like a stealth fighter? Are those any good or are they all show? At least they look like you are about to blow up something
i almost bought that boat pictured. it was being offered by symbolic through a broker on shelter island.
i just clicked on the Does your dog bite...i'm in tears! what a great bit!!! off topic, but who cares!!!
My attorney lives on a lake, his neighbor purchased a boat that is jet engine powered. It has a propellor to get in and out of the slot, but I think the max speed is 15 mph with it. When the jet engine turns on it has a defeaning roar, the entire neighborhood stinks like kerosene and everything within a mile gets a coating of soot on it. So it was expensive, not practical, causes heads to turn, and seats four, sounds like a Ferrari to me, did I mention it probably is a depreciation pig as well.
bayliner ???????????? on a serious note 5 years ago i swapped my formula boat for a testarossa but i live in the uk and formula's over here are rare
Classic ferraris - Rivas Enzo - wally yacht (just 'cause of the styling) modern - hmmm, something that is expensive, looks wonderful, exclusive, fast and preferably italian..... dunno. ??ferrettigroup, azimut??? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The top of the heap in performance boating (v-hulls) is OuterLimits. Here is my take on boating-world equivalents of Ferrari's: Enzo -OuterLimits (www.outerlimitspowerboats.com) 575/550 -Cigarette (www.cigaretteracing.com) -Formula (www.formulaboats.com)
