what is the diff between dry weight and curb weight

    Hi there
    the ferrari web site lists the 360 CS

    dry weight 2600 lbs
    curb weight 2820 lbs

    what is the difference? I never heard of dry weight

    I know curb weight is the total car, with out any fuel
    Test weight is curb weight, plus driver, plus X liters of fuel

    what the heck is dry weight?

    Dry weight is without fuel. Curb weight is with fuel.

    oops, my bad...

    so curb weight is with a full tank of gas.

    I guess test weight is curb weight, plus a driver, plus testing equipment

    thanks, that makes more sense now...

    Dry weight is ...wait for it: No fluids.

    Kerb weight is Dry + coolant, lubricants and some volume of fuel (I think the fuel load varies DIN/SAE/whatever the Brits use).

    Test weight is ...TADA!: As tested. Kerb +/- fuel, + driver, +test equipment.

    Test equipment used to be 50-80lbs, now it's probably never more than 10.

    Test weight is included driver...? I don't think so. It's a weight of the car at the moment of testing. It can be a full options car with a/c, radio, carpets, luxury seats, ect. in addition to kerb weight... no driver.
