Thanks for looking - what are the two holes that I've highlighted in the pic below?

At first I thought it was for the door light, but then I realized I already have one. I don't have my other Mondial near me, so I can't compare.

    Anyone have a clue? {3.2, btw}

    Thanks,
    Erik

Top one is large enough for a pop in plastic seal.

The bottom round hole might possibly be for a rubber bumper of some description..

My Mondial T doesn't have any holes at all. Could they be holes for rust prevention?(Causmoline)

Not unless the cars been painted since.

And the oblong one would be a factory stamping one would think.

I do think leaving them open is a good idea to free trapped moisture after washing/rain.

    That's my concern.

If they aren't typical, then I assume it was part of some repair - maybe the paint-free dent removal.

I know my car doesn't have full (or any) original paint - the paint is too good and there are slight paint drips on the bottom with a bit of overspray.

    Thanks guys,
    Erik

Access holes like that can be for any type of dent removal, not just paintless. They should be covered with a rubber plug afterwards.

Same. You may want to peak in there with a flashlight or remove the door panel to see if a door dent was ever removed that way. I bet one of those black rubber grommets would seal those holes up easily.

Well, seeing this thread I just had to look. On my QV there is one hole in each door, with a rubber plug labeled "Niagara". If you draw a line from the upper hole on your door to the red courtesy light, mine are located on the halfway point. No other holes here.

I know Birdman did some heroic rustproofing when he had my car; maybe yours saw something similar?

O/T but www.niagaracapsandplugs.com resolves to www.caplugs.com and they've got a few things that I've been looking for.

    Thanks!

Thanks guys - the plot thickens - take a look at my other door -

Looks like someone went to town - I'm going to look up the caplugs website and order some quickly.

Thanks for all of the help.
