I'm looking at a higher mileage 2011 458 Italia in Vinaccia. The car has 46k miles and a great MSRP with carbon buckets, front lift, LED carbon steering wheel. The owner has maintained it properly with receipts along with putting on a new front end clear bra. However, the car is obviously a higher mileage example so there's some rock chips and a scratch on the roof along with some interior wear as to be expected with 46k miles(driver seat could use some love). It's not easy to triangulate a price in todays market since its softened in the winter along with this being a high mileage car in a color that you either hate or love. Anyone have any thoughts on what would be a fair price or is the consensus to spend 30k+ and get a low mileage one? Owner has maintenance/receipts for 12k+ in 2023 alone.

There’s a bit more information the forum brains trust needs .. Would it be a stretch for you to pay an additional 30k? How long are you going to keep it? If you plan on keeping it forever and the car ticks all your boxes then go for it, but if you plan on selling it in the next 2-3 years then just remember the people you will be selling to will have the same misgivings then as you have now, and it will be an even higher mileage car and still the same colour..

Great questions and honestly a bit tough to answer. I actually love the color, I’m a bit anti Ferrari red because everyone and their mother has it here in Los Angeles and I’m not interested in silver/black/gray because it’s boring to me. My must haves are a good color(yellow, blue, something unique) with carbon buckets/front lift. An extra 30k for me to spend isn’t the end of the world and I’d do it for a lower mileage/right spec/warranty or have maintenance receipts but I don’t see any of those for sale right now at a Ferrari dealer or enthusiast(I dislike random used car dealers). I also might keep this car only for 6-12 months to try Ferrari ownership or if I truly love the last NA V8 mid engine then I would keep it 2-3 years.

I looked at this one at Hubbard when it was for sale about a year ago. Think it was listed around 170k with 40k or so miles last year and I believe the current owner posted about buying it somewhere on this forum. It was a nice spec if you like the color. I didn’t love it at first but it’s grown on me. If you pass on it please pass along the contact info for the seller. Thanks
