    A few weeks ago I bought a nice 2005 EZ GO golf cart.

    It has two sand bottle holders mounted on the rear area.

    What is a sand bottle? I'll only be using this golf cart for around my house and on my personal golf course. I do not really golf though. The previous owner built the golf course. I just wonder what is a sand bottle and how is it used for golfing??

    they are filled with a sand / grass seed mix and are used to fill in divots on fairways. instead of the old school method of replacing your divots.

    The sand bottle is filled with sand and grass seed. Most golfers take a divot ( remove grass down to the dirt ) after a shot/swing. You use the mixture in the bottle to cover or fill in the dirt area, or area where there is no longer grass. Preferably, grab the divot and place it back where it came from and lightly stomp it into place.

    You can use yours for extra cup holders.
