Replaced leaking gasket on rear bank oil return on my '87 GTS.
4 July 2020. I took her for a nice drive and a quick stop for olives, beer and peppers at a local market. Always an honor to experience these wonderful, little machines; such is the simplicity yet complexity of aura in glory, veracity and elegance. Manhattan, Montana, USA Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the UK last week it was HOT, so with the roof on and the newly re- gassed aircon off me and the wife went to the local farm shop. Ten minutes in, wife says its rather noisy in here from the engine can we have the radio on please, OK then i said, bear in mind the last time i used the radio it must be over 5 years ago. Switched on the radio, pressed the button for the electric Ariel, nothing happened, kept pressing and pressing as you do whilst driving still, told the wife must be bad reception out here we will have the CD on instead i thought, working nicely and the wife is happy until the next tune comes on and she decides to eject it and change to another----big mistake, couldn't get it go back in at all. So she sat back and tutted, "i suppose i wont see you for next week now, as you'll be fiddling with it when you get home, should of come out in my car, it works!!" ouch, that was painful. yes, back home straight into the garage out come the tools, the centre console switch mechanism had got jammed up and the eject system in the alpine CD unit had an E clip come off. All working now
I installed my Euro headlight conversion kit today (so the pods stay down when you turn on the parking lights). Very happy with the result! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As I do in my state, I opened the door and grilled a pepper and sausage nearby. I stepped into the garage and pondered, "How the hell did I get this beautiful machine in here?" Really, ladies and gentlemen, this is a Ferrari and me, a humble military pilot from northwest Montana. (The towel is for the battery tender cable) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today we Went for a drive then stopped for a few things at the store. Which soon evolved into shoving a cart full of groceries in the Boot! She made it fit, And that proves the 308 to be a practical purchase right? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I opened the door to the garage today and just looked at it for a couple minutes in awe that I actually OWN one!!!! Sometimes, that’s all you have to do to really appreciate them. But next month is a repaint of the front and rear bumpers, a fix of the improper buffing that happened at some point in it’s life, and repairing the rear exhaust grille. Purchased a used early 308 air box with the fiberglass / metal screen already removed, early in the year. Now I am working to install it in my 78 308 GTS. I need to order the oil cooler intake tubing to connect to the earlier air box with the shorter snout. I wanted to see how it sounds. These are the photos of todays work. I also plan to replace the existing rear bank distributor with a Modified Stock distributor with points which will fire the rear and forward bank. Same advance curve for both banks. Forward distributor will only distribute the spark. Helps to have a distributor tester. Today, I removed my 308 GTS dash panel and installed LEDs for the left and right turn indicators, Lights on indicator, low fuel, and high beam. Now I can see the indicators in the daytime. Early air box installed with NO fiberglass and metal screen. Used oil cooler intake tubing to connect to intake. Took for a ride. Sounds great. Now it sounds even more like a Ferrari. Reminds me of my past Dinos, Lamborghini, and GTC/4.
Took her for a spin, checked the oil level and celebrated she made 100.000 kms some weeks ago watching at her smoking a cigar PS: my odometer reads in miles Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

What was wrong this time? What animal was transported with the vehicle next to your 328? A horse? Best Martin
