Just read this on F1-live and it says that normally McLaren makes the drivers give their trophies to McLaren Technology center for display and they then get a replica. Does this happen with every team? IIRC Schumi was only concerned about keeping his winning trophies so I'm assuming he got to keep all of his originals.

I know a couple of guys that between them have in the area of 750+ 'Feature' wins, and they just give away all of their trophies, usually to the crewmen, or some of their most ardent fans, and to some of the younger kids.
I know it's just dirt late-model stock car racing, but still, they just don't have room for all of them. They keep the points championship ones, though.

I used to keep my trophies but seriously there CAN BE too many. I think I'm down to about a dozen. If I was an F1 driver and won a race I would want to keep the prize but at that level I'm sure the drivers are "trophied" out. A replica may not even be wanted... it is a team event too.
