Sure seems to be pretty quiet out there in the marketplace.

I haven't seen any 400i's come up for sale in a really long time.
There must have been 15 or 20 last year; this year...nada

I have noticed the same thing Dave. I think that people have finally begun to appreciate the value in these cars despite the potential for high maintenance costs and are holding on to them.

I know that I would not consider letting mine go for anywhere near what current "market" price is.

Are there no good ones for sale? I'll hopefully be in the market within a couple months. I'll be looking for a 5 speed. I like how Red looks on the car.

Any suggestions as to how to find one?

    A red 5-speed?
There were only 7 of them brought to the US.
Of those 7 only 5 of them have been seen or titled in the last 8 years.
4 of those have been up for sale in the last 4 years.

1 of them will come up for sale in the next year or 2. Now all you have to do is hope it is a good car and you're willing to pay the asking price.

    Wow.

    Ok. Any 5 Speed? hah.

These cars are more rare than I thought. I can't believe they are as "cheap" as they are right now.

Re: 365GT4 2+2's/400i's on the market.

This thread reminds me of looking for a 330 2+2 5 yrs ago...lots of cars out there back in early-mid '02, steadily dwindling supply in the years since, and you can hardly find one for sale now at 2X the $ they were then.

Grab yourself a car while you can.

What's wrong with 41299? (I mean other than it being an automatic. ;)

48477 just sold on Ebay for $9000. That could have been a screaming deal.
    Anyone here buy it?

I've seen and inspected this car.
It isn't anything like what is described in the ebay ad.

It is tired, not well cared for, has a cheap paint job, mismatched wheels, LOADS of aftermarket wiring, ...

    Need I go on?

He didn't sell the whole car for £10.50, it was just a listing to let people know that he was breaking it for spares. Not sure what the £10.50 was for? He has other parts listed seperately. This is the car that I got the V12 engine from. Though he still hasn't delivered it. :(

I wonder how come it never showed up on any of the searches I did on Ebay.
I search "ferrari 400i" every few days.

I don't need another Fcar, but for 9 g's I would have bought it.
