    Hi,

We all know the "OLD SCHOOL" Tubi, Capristo, Fabspeed exhausts.

    I'm NOT talking about those.

Let's entirely disregard those. Their sounds are well known and have been posted thousands of times before.

I'm only interested in the true x-pipe style designs on a F430 that give a super high pitched F1 sound.

I'm looking for REAL data from OWNERS of these systems.

I have watched many videos on youtube. That is a surefire way to waste a ton of cash. Which I have already done with two systems. And I don't like them. I want 2006 F1 sound. I have 2015 boring Turbo F1 sound.

I don't care that all the pedestrians are getting Ferrari stiffies when I drive by. My next system needs to sound just unreal in the cabin. It is all about the driver after all.

One more thing, youtube does also not really help because there is no way to confirm if cars have four cats, two cats, or no cats. There are very few in cabin videos. Also, the sound I want in my next exhaust requires a high end mic to record properly. Your typical cell phone, hand held camera, or on board camera can not capture it.

I need to understand more about the tonal change when pre cats and/or main cats are removed. Is it just volume? Who has more information on that?

    RonnieRenaldi,

What is the cat situation in these three videos?

I know you installed more cats.

What was your experience with power, noise, tone, and volume change when adding cats?

    Thank you.

He wants sound from inside ;)
But that sound is similar to S-Line from outside.

The setup on those three videos are Fabspeed headers, stock secondary cats, S-Line exhaust.
With Fabspeed high-flow cats, the pitch is still the same but it's louder :)

Keep watching (3:06 and beyond). ;)

The setup is not as clean and refined as yours. It sounds rough under 4k RPM. The high-end is glorious.

I bought a capristo a while back and it was crap. The stock was nicer and louder.

So what I did was buy a set of carbon fiber air boxes that the 430 Scuderia has. They are slightly larger than the stock 430 air boxes.

The noise and notes coming out of the car were just phenomenal. Everyone would ask me what exhaust I had on and it was the stock.

The stock air boxes have a resonator to dampen the noise whereas the Scuderia air boxes do not.

On top of that unplug the bypass valves and then you go even better in noise.

So in summary no need to spend heaps of money on any aftermarket exhaust.

Just get the air boxes fitted and you will see.

Il try and post up a comparison in the air box design between the 430 and Scuderia version.

Best F1 sound is straight pipes. F1 cars don't have cats or mufflers.
Cat delete, muffler delete, straight out the back.
    It will be loud.
I do laugh at wanting F1 sound from 8000 rpm though. The sound everyone wants comes from 18000rpm. 8000rpm will never sound anything like it.

Good point. The wail of those engines approaching 20k rpm is amazing, as well as ear-piercing. If you could achieve that noise, people would hear you from miles away and you'd need ear protection to drive the car.

I have full de cat on my 430 with Tubi back box (AP manifold, Tubi test pipe)
It sounds insane when it's warmed up and you are in the mood!
But..... It doesn't sound good when cold and is tiring when you want to cruise!
I am going to take off the Tubi and refit the oem back box with a remote control of the valves.

I'd like all your static db readings at 5k revs, that will give us the real info we all need to make a decision on stock v aftermarket variants?????

what is the stock db reading at 5k revs, wish I got this before I changed to AP manifolds?

    Any video of your setup?
From my understanding F1 sound = high-pitch sound, just straight pipes won't sound high-pitch, just deep sound like stock but a lot louder.

Here's another video of stock (stock headers, stock secondary cats, stock muffler) vs S-Line:
