Funny, I just got a new winter car, after test driving a bunch of stuff I ended up with an Subaru STi!
Over the years, we have had various cars. What my wife drives is her choice and although I offer my suggestions and do have some influence, it is up to her. She currently has a Mazda CX-9 Touring. We looked at other similar (we need the space) cars and nothing compared. The value in the Mazda is unsurpassed. It is now three years old and although I rarely drive it, it drives very well. As for the Subaru, my wife previously had an Outback Limited (wagon) and loved it as did I. We gave it to my son and it now has over 200K on it. I got tired of the typical cars and just got a Subaru Baja (2003). I bought it mainly because my son (now 16) liked them. I love it and may get another one when I give this one to him. In the past, I have owned BMWs, Mercedes, and many others. I like unique and am always on the hunt for something that stands out. It is her car, as long as it is a good car and she likes it then who cares. If you chose a substandard car for her that would be different, if it is her choice then all is good.
Just picked her up a new Forester XT. Quick little car. She loves it!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
As previously mentioned my wife drives a Subaru. Great, great car. But the other DD which is mine is a Smart ForTwo. Needless to say that given the road conditions in Connecticut this morning, it was an eye-popping adventure getting to work. Can't wait to drive on the ice-skating rink waiting for me tonight (ugh!) The wife picked up her new car today. She looked at every 4 door AWD sedan made. Here is her choice. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black S4 from a black S550 4matic. She loves the fact it is more nimble and sporty. I like it also! Scoots with launch control and would give some F cars a run for the money.
