    I always thought "Scuderia" in Italian was "stable", as in Stable of Horses ... Thus Stable (of) Ferrari...

    It actually stands for Sergio Ferrari. Enzo’s older brother who died at birth. His mother had never gotten over the loss and as any 'good' Italian son Enzo honored his mother by immortalizing his brother...her first son !


    Nahhhhh... it really does stand for Scuderia Ferrari
