PS: I had good experience at Ferrari of SF in Marin but the drive from the South Bay is a killer.

Crikey mate, if they tried that here, I’d have burnt their showroom to the ground! What a farce. I’d be in touch with ferrari of NA firstly, and if they didn’t help, straight to the factory. It’s worth the plane ticket alone to visit in person and lodge a complaint. Parking the car in the car park isn’t storage in my opinion, if it’s parked on a ramp awaiting work, that’s storage if anything is. Unbelievable customer service.,.l I suppose the apple and google guys have so much money they just pay up, but any normal person is going to have a stroke getting a bill like that for doing absolutely nothing. Cheeky bastards

Agreed. I am pretty fair and before posting I did try and ask for an explanation: didn’t even bother answering emails or phone calls...

They are totally out of order mate.. I’d definately be finding a way to make sure they had to spend every penny that I paid them on something they wouldn’t have needed to had they not crossed me

Well I had to pay to get the car out and I had my lawyer asking for refund of storage fee and admin fee.
I took lots of pictures and am talking with FerrAri hq on this. My phone and email to director there have remained unanswered for now.

I'm confused, was there something in the thread that was fishy? Not sure why you think he made this story up? (perhaps I'm lacking prior context)
    Cheers

I've had my car serviced here a couple times, and I never saw a storage fee or administration fee? Very odd. I agree, 5K on top of the diagnostic work to store your car for 2 weeks seems excessive. Was this communicated to you in the work estimate beforehand?

I am admittedly ignorant when it comes to insurance rates and increases. Is it a sliding scale based on the severity of an incident? Perhaps they quoted high because they knew your insurance was going to 'cover' it (like hospitals bills) - and let claims adjusters modify down they always do?

Put another way, does your rate increase go differently if you had 15K in damage vs 50K in damage? I don't know myself, and would be happy to be educated.

Ok, so the BAR, Bureau of automotive repair, would be very interested in your story. They cannot add any fee's whatsoever without prior written notification and authorization. File a complaint with them, sue in small claims and hopefully win. I have done against a shop in Livermore and won. Got all my $ and satisfaction. HTH

The insurance company has a midget throwing party to celebrate. If you complain they just cancel you.

50k for 4 rotors etc down to 15k?
Wholesale CCB rotors are 4-5k each. Wheel probably 3-4K so thats 2 rotors and a wheel. Nothing else, maybe few hours labor at 200-300 per.
BTW, the Vin 186568 is kinda high for an 11. Seems to fall in 12’s sequence. Just saying. I’m not NNO but I know my Vins. Can I see whole vin, maybe I missed something?

Has BAR reamed them a new one yet? Guess the wheels of justice grind slowly.

ZFF73SKA9C0186568 is a 2012 FF. I hope the damage doesn't affect resale value down the road.

Last sold by Envy Auto Group in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

I just thought ticket said 11.
Anyway, there may be a lot more that needs fixing. Aluminum really only bends once. Wheel took a hard hit. Anything attached to it got degree of that. Rotor cracked. Big hit. I say no way can they fix that for 15. Tire is toast too, don’t care what it looks like.
My guess if you dodge bullets is 25-30k. Cv joints front halfshafts, transfer case/diff, lower tray in back so any coolant leaks/cracks, or did they look.
Photo it all for resale later, not that FF has any resale.
