Is that the Nikor one? I've been looking for it but it's been on back-order everywhere I've checked.
The 70-200mm f/2.8 will probably be my next big photography purchase. My 85mm f/1.4 is a very good lens and it'll work right now until I can get something else.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 7.2MP (pocket sized). It's actually about the size of a credit card (thicker of course) - great for travel.

Aparently you can if it an auto focus Canon lens but you will have multiply the lens number by 1.52 to convert it to digital..

You're still giving me too much credit there! I figure if I mash that silver button enough times.....well even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes, right? Does Searcy have ice right now? Looks like Springfield and STL got hit pretty hard, but my brother in Little Rock says it has just been raining. Hope you've avoided the brunt of it!

We didn't get any freezing rain so that is good. It did freeze last night but the roads are clear. If this cold had been two days earlier we would be in bad shape. I would have been the first guy in line at Lowes for a generator. I can't live without FChat. :)

    Over here!

    Take a guess...
I just dumped my CD Mavica for a Lumix FZ-50...10.1 megapixel, 35mm-420mm zoom (35mm equiv) with no change in shape of camera or lens, 848x480 video @ 30fps, and a full 360 degree lcd AND an eyepiece. SD/SDHC memory compatible with my other toys, and it fits my hands much better than the barbie-toy microcameras I looked at. Pictures have a little bit of noise that can be resolved with software, but hardly noticeable at full res.

I used to use a Lumix Fz20 (5mp) when I was shooting for Sports Car Market magazine which is why I went with this camera... If you have seen the 2006 SCM Pocket Price Guide cover, that's a shot I took at Cavallino with the Fz20. Also, any of the articles that I wrote for the mag in '04-'05 included my pics with that same camera.

I really, really like the Lumix for the money.

    Best wishes,
    Tad

I do reviews of cameras so I have all sorts of equipment going in and out constantly.

Nikon D200 is a very nice camera, built like a tank!

Most recently used and so far still using:

Leica Digilux 3 chrome (2500 USD SLR the lens is glorious!)
Leica M8 chrome (5000 usd some minor issues need fixing but its an M! And a digital one to!)
    Leica DLUX 3 10mp p&S camera (black)

I've owned mostly Japanese cameras SLRs and point and shoots but these leicas have me spoiled. I like the olympus stylus line and the Pentax K10D is great also, love weatherproofed cameras.

Sony DSC N1. Not bad, other than taking very shaky pics at night. I hear the N2 is out, hopefully they corrected this problem.

You know what? Just when I thought I'd totally made the switch to digital, I rediscovered film. Of course, it helps to have a film scanner...

Yes, it is. Amazon usually has them now. I actually might sell to go towards the 17-55mm f/2.8.
