Haha, that's funny. Actually, good roller skating abilities make young people drive better: you drive through uncontrollable crowds of people, lots of stuff happening, so you get a lot of attention training and you need to predict your moves and everything around. It was like a basis for me when I was a kid. As for music, I'm listening to the music not many people tend to appreciate as it is seems too extreme for them, haha. Been looking for some tapes to play in a 6.0 W124 and ran through my favourite 90s albums, so that's what I had playing in my head, while posting. Eclectic music tastes here on F-chat. It's a lot of fun to sample other people's likes. If you like extreme, you may want to check out that Stitches guy from a page or so back. Just heard some gal butchering this classic, so I had to listen to the original. A musical palate cleanser, if you will. https://youtu.be/ftjEcrrf7r0 T
Following one of the above links, didn't know Marilyn Manson did a cover of the Depeche Mode classic, Personal Jesus. Not bad https://youtu.be/Rl6fyhZ0G5E T
Time for a little country. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tho2iIyWodU[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPssNb3Ehu4[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAm4nHFOir0&list=PLXkFjkjF67rBHkGFIVlOgmlOdt_Ll82AG[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmPoYTLFps4[/ame]
Apparently, someone played the 45 of the original on 33 and it went viral. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQGcuDt7-MI[/ame]
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fyH9M3l2pw[/ame] Saw this guy & his awesome band a few times in Iceland last November - he was one of the reasons I wanted to go there for a music festival - and now his record is coming out in July. Groovy.
"Strength Of The World" by Avenged Sevenfold. Still on my list as one of the most epic songs I've ever heard, even if no one else has.
Tragically Hip.... Found bad news about the lead singer. Gord Downie ready to 'blow people's minds' on tour in wake of cancer diagnosis Not for their songs. They do have some good songs, don't get me wrong. They are Canada's most popular band that's totally under rated in the USA. On the radio they kind of suck. But live and its all Gordon Downie, they are as great as Rush! Maybe even better then Rush. In Canada they sell out stadiums, in the U.S. they barely fill a bar unless its along the border. This band not Nickleback should be the most popular Canadian act in the U.S! Sad news no words!
I did. Not bad. I listened to a few of their tunes on YouTube. Some were slow. Some more up tempo. Liked the latter better. Thanks for posting...T
Bummer. Grew up with their music in Canada. Here's 3 pistols to you Gord: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PQLoHJOPOI
Great song!! They do have some good songs. Downie's much stronger live on stage. I've seen them every time they've played Vancouver and I saw them at a club in Seattle back in the 90's.
Soundgarden. Spoonman !! Pandora , over ear headphones on the beach . I can't hear the screaming kids.
