    Thanks Peter for organizing. These lunches are a lot of fun & have a great group of attendees. Those who read this thread but haven't yet attended are missing out.

    Rio, your car sounded awesome when you flew by after leaving the restaurant.

    Side note... What a collection of beautiful cars. At each event I notice new details, and my appreciation of all the models continues to grow.

    Hope to see everyone at the next one.

    Putting it out there for the next lunch gathering on April 24th. And suggestions on the venue? I've heard both the Arsenal for an "in town" location or the Reel Inn for a coast drive.

    Is there a preference toward the coast drive? That's my preference but its a group decision.

    Could also do Duke's again or somewhere else.

    Suggestions?

    Even though it's further for me, I prefer the Malibu locations. Group drive up the coast, bright atmosphere & views while you eat, good parking, etc...

    The Malibu drive seems to be the preference. Should we try somewhere new or try Dukes again?

    There are a few other places that should be good in Malibu but am not sure of the specifics of each place. I'd be glad to check into them for our May meetup (I won't have time to do so for next week's). Unless someone has any recommendations for next week, why don't we default back to Dukes - that's always good!

    Several good places but good parking is always the question. Also several places don't take reservations and we may have a hard time finding a group table.

    Let's make it Duke's again to keep it simple. Time to start a list.

    Anyone have any experience with Cafe Habana in the Malibu Lumber Yard center? Do they have secure parking or would it be in the lot with the rest of the shopping center? I have a message in to them but wanted to see if anyone had been there.

    Tim, pm sent. Most of us meet beforehand for a drive together. We usually meet on San Vicente in Brentwood for a 12:30 drive in a group.

    Had a group of 7 for lunch at Duke's in Malibu today. A couple of last minute cancellations but still a nice lunch. The weather in the SF Valley and West LA looked overcast but it was beautiful sunny skies in Malibu as we had an outside table overlooking the ocean.

    We set next month's lunch gathering for May 29th. Location to be announced.

    May the "horse" be with you.

    OK. Mixing up in Malibu won the poll so this Friday, May 29th we are rotating back to:

    Casa Escobar Malibu Beach
    22969 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265

    We were at the Casa last January and both the parking and food was great.

    Plan to meet at the restaurant at 1:00 pm OR meet us for the 'unofficial" group drive starting in Brentwood on San Vicente Boulevard west of Gretna Green (2 blocks west of Bundy) at 12:30 for a drive up the coast together.

    We have a new Lunch Thread page going to shorten the number of pages so if you plan to attend, please add your name to the list.
