Steve, that's a generous offer, but the problem is, I'm working alittle late on Friday (and tomorrow, as a matter of fact) because I'm covering for someone on vacation in my department. There's still a chance I stillmay make this, as I might be able to squeek a ride from a neighbor tomorrow evening. Isn't it ironic I own three vehicles, but transportation is an issue, LOL! Looks like the weather is going to be great though, so fingers crossed!
Joe, Nick or anyone with a Ferrari: could you drive me on Saturday? Also, please be prepared to pick me up at my house promptly. Coffee please and Venti non fat mocha only. Did I mention I'm a vegetarian? And, peanut allergies are a problem so wash your hands vigorously before ringing my doorbell.

I was ready to give you a ride . . . until you mentioned having to touch your door bell button. Eeeeeeeeuuuu!!! Germs!!
25 cars and 41 people! Brandon and I will pre-check the route this afternoon. The reservation for the restaurant is for 2 PM. We have part of the outside deck if that is OK. The weather is predicted to be mostly sunny and about 65 to 70 degrees. There is a small Navy museum in the same building which will take about 5 minutes to tour unless you get into a conversation with the "tour guide"; then allow 20 minutes. Also, Port Deposit is an old town with sidewalks. They've made some progress making it a tourist friendly street.

Hey guys, I am going to have to bow out after all. The good news is, I was able to make arrangements to pick up the car. The bad news (for me) is that I have another personal issue which has come up, which I will have to take care of on Saturday. Don, appreciate very much the planning that has gone into this, and I'm sorry I won't be able to join you guys. One of those things. See you at C&C! Scott Don B (2) VGM911 JoeZaff (2) Curtis C. After the drive the route instructions will be available to everyone. When ever you and a few other C&C guys want to have a drive it's ready. I hope your "issue" turns out OK. There's been too many of them lately.
What time will everyone be leaving? What time should I get there? Weather looks great and I can't wait. Should be quite a spectacle seeing all these awesome cars cruising! The Viper is all cleaned up and just did an oil change. See you all there.
Don, thanks. IF I can get it resolved today, I might be able to do this after all. Too much drama in my life lately...! Tomorrow is supposed to be a gorgeous day.
Good news, I am IN after all! My drama is resolved (at least for today!) After all, I couldn't let Steve be the ONLY Viper there. Anthony, if you're reading this, you're my navigator, son. See you guys at 8 am. Scott swexlin (2) Don B (2) VGM911 JoeZaff (2) Curtis C. (2) Jon in DE Merle G. ztarum (2) Herb (TurboRegal84) (2) Glen L. Jay H. Eric V. Most are painfully obvious, but I'll put them here anyway. RULE 1: Have fun & be safe. RULE 2: Follow the Main Road. Sometimes the main road is not straight ahead. Use the ‘Arrow’ signs, ‘Yellow Diamond’ warning signs, STOP signs and the painted center line to determine which direction the main road continues at an intersection where the main road curves. For example: do not go down a road that has a stop sign for opposing traffic unless you have an instruction to turn. More Rules: Words: in quotations refers to the text of a sign, unquoted refers to the object. For example: "Barn" is a sign with the word Barn on it, not all of the words are necessarily quoted; Barn would refer to the structure. SS = Stop Sign that you stop for. T = An intersection shaped like a “T” that you approach from the bottom. TL = Traffic Light. BL = Blinking Light (similar to a traffic light). Most turns are at Stop Signs, but a few are "on the move." If you have an instruction that says > LEFT < you will turn onto the next road on the left that is not a driveway, parking lot entrance, dirt, or has a sign that says "PRIVATE", "DEAD END", "NO OUTLET", or "MONDIALS ONLY". I give the name of each road, but not all of the roads have a sign. Your GPS may help, but it is not necessary to use one. If you have an instruction that says > LEFT after "+" onto Whatzit Rd. <, drive past a Diamond Warning sign with the cross road symbol on it and make the next Left turn. Your navigator should have a pencil to check off each instruction after it is completed. There are 38 instructions to the rest stop and 58 from the rest stop to the restaurant. The mileage from the start to each instruction is listed. We will re-zero at Starbucks and at the rest stop. Feel free to ask any questions.
Don, thanks a ton for putting this together. you are a fantastic asset to the group....and apparently have a a fair amount of experience in Road Rallies!! Jon in Delaware going to bed early to be at Cars and Coffee for the West Chester Spring Drive!!
I will be joining everyone in the Boxster. Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to drive the Mondial about 150 miles today, including into the City. As luck would have it, I think the pressure plate is on its way out. I am going to preserve what life remains of the clutch assembly to transport her to and from Reading. I ordered a new clutch assembly today and Mike P. should be installing it in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the Mondial will be ready for the next drive. IMHO, the best piece of equipment you can purchase if you own an old Italian car..... Is a german car.
Joe- It's been a long day at the office and I read this. You made my day. I was already to take care of you as directed but realized OMG I don't have a Freaken Ferrari anymore. LOL
Sorry guys. After all this planning I'm gonna have to opt out. This really sucks because I really wanted to partipate. I'm looking forward to another one of these.
