    I read so much about the transmission, and I find this car’s transmission smooth, quick shifting and fun to drive. Even at slow speeds it is smooth - and I come for a PDK in my 2015 911 Targa4S. Driving this car is very different - and sooo much more to my liking. Many fun miles to come, god willing.

    The 599's (and OTO 612's) Superfast F1 system and twin disc clutch was near the end of evolution for dry clutch F1 systems. Only Superfast II on the GTO and Scuderia/16M improved on what was an excellent system.

    Fully agree. It's funny i've heard people say that the 100ms shift speed is somewhat slow, and maybe compared to your latest dual-clutch craziness it is...but man, I can tell you I don't think I've ever pulled off a 100ms shift with a manual on my own in my whole life.

    Considering that is power to power time, no one has done that in a street car. Maybe with a linear shift and no clutch activation but otherwise, not happening.

    I bought a 599 in 07 when they just came out and still have mine. They are very good cars and I like the looks. You got a beauty, congrats.
