What's the best way to watch the races? I stream through an AppleTV, but didn't find an app, or existing service, that carries the races. Maybe I missed something?

Motortrend + usually shows them. I'm presuming they're showing them for 2024. it's the world feed.

the WEC channel shows full races on youtube, but weeks later.

For me more GT3s is the solution to phase out and replace LMP2 in endurance series (WEC, IMSA, ELMS and AsLMS).
GT3s represent different brands and can attract factory support because there is already a huge market with all the national championships and international series (SRO, VLN, Creventic, Intercontinental, Open GT, etc ...).
Beside, I find it more interesting to follow a variety of different cars racing than watching an ORECA specs series.

SPA event tickets on sale now for May WEC event. 6 hours of racing with high tech Hypercars and GT3. Why attend F1 in person? I will spend less in fuel to drive there lol. This plus Le Mans for me this year. No F1. Not worth it currently.

Tickets now on sale for 2024 FIA WEC race at Spa-Francorchamps

    https://www.fiawec.com/en/news/tickets-now-on-sale-for-2024-fia-wec-race-at-spa-francorchamps/7792

Tickets for round three of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (9-11 May, 2024), are now on sale.

Attendance for this year’s Belgian WEC race was up by a third on last year with a three-day crowd figure of 72,000 people. What’s more, there will be a record number of entries going head-to-head in the headline Hypercar category plus all-new GT3 machinery – do not miss out on the opportunity to attend next year’s event!

Weekend tickets (Thursday – Saturday) are available for €60 Euros or €55 Euros for race day only. Under 12s go free and for a limited time only, student tickets (12 – 16yo) are available at an early bird discount rate of €40 for a weekend ticket and €35 for race day.

The new endurance grandstand on the old start-finish straight on the run down to Eau Rouge was officially launched at this year’s race and undoubtedly offers one of the best views in motorsport at the start of the descent towards Raidillon.

One of the world's best-known race tracks and steeped in motorsport history, Spa-Francorchamps has formed a round of the WEC since the championship's inception back in 2012 while Spa has been regular fixture in the ELMS calendar since 2016. For the WEC, the Belgian round of the World Championship serves as the all-important dress rehearsal ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Is someone going to run a Bolide? I hadn't heard that.

Valkyrie is being "modified" to comply with regulations for both WEC and IMSA.

    https://media.astonmartin.com/aston-martin-returns-to-le-mans-to-fight-for-overall-victory-with-valkyrie-hypercar/

Valkyrie AMR Pro was originally designed and developed to meet the LMH hypercar regulations and now Aston Martin Performance Technologies, situated in the newly-built AMR Technology Campus which is co-located with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® team’s Silverstone headquarters, has begun the task of developing a competition prototype version of Valkyrie for racing within a pre-defined aerodynamic and power performance window that gives it parity with its direct competition in WEC. It will then be homologated for the WEC Hypercar and IMSA GTP classes ahead of the 2025 season.

Heart of Racing is testing in Thermal this week with the AMR Pro track day car (not sure how relevant this will be, but cool anyway):

proper testing second half of this year:

One ran some laps as a test at Le Mans last year (Bolide) so I'd say its on the cards.
The Valkyrie looks nothing like an LMh car can't see how that could be just modified.
The program changed a lot after they pulled out.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie was more in the spirit of the original Hypercar concept.
Initially, Hypercars were supposed to be derived from a steet car design.
Since, the ACO left that definition drift to what it is now: Hypercars are prototypes without compromise.
In the end, I suppose that the Valkyrie will be less competitive than hardcore Hypercars.
I still prefer to see these cars racing than specs LMP2s.

Actually, as it was already said around here, it was the opposite: the Hypercar rules were for prototypes and the street car thing was added later to suit the Valkyrie.

Yeah I remember now they changes the rules to let them in then they pulled out then time went by with more changes Ferrari etc joined. This is why I can't see how now the Valkyrie can join.

Hey guys, I'm looking to attend the WEC race in Austin this year. Has anyone purchased the Le Mans Spirit Club tickets before? I don't care much about the hospitality stuff, I just want to get as close to the cars and drivers in the paddocks before the race and I'm wondering if those tickets are the best way to get access or if the general admission will be sufficient.

    Thoughts?

Nice to see The Charles Pozzi mention (atop the windshield in blue), unexpected and as yet unexplained.

Charles Pozzi was of course the Ferrari importer for France for decades, entering many Ferraris at Le Mans but as far as I know the company no longer exists so perhaps it is just a tribute and we'll see NART, Ecurie Francorchamps etc in various races this year....
