    Was just killing time at the airport and found a series of YouTubes revolving around how Senna lived his life outside the car. It was very interesting, at least for me.

    It's divided into 3 parts:

    One
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU230Pl04-Q]F1 Special:Ayrton Senna's life style in brazil *Part1* - YouTube[/ame]

    Two
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO9OAQHmjj0]F1 Special:Ayrton Senna's life style in brazil *Part2* - YouTube[/ame]

    Three
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIBdiJBWrlo]F1 Special:Ayrton Senna's life style in brazil *Part3* - YouTube[/ame]

    Enjoy. Senna is still the greatest F1 driver imho. If only he had chosen to go to Ferrari instead of Williams...

    Agree 100% on both counts - Thanks for posting this. WADR to the F1 drivers today I think this shows why and how Senna had the amazing focus he had - or at least a contributing factor.

    Thanks much for posting that - - a very enjoyable window into the life of a true champion - of not only things competitive, but of a man who cared about all forms of life around him.

    The documentary "Senna", focused on the man and his racing (IMHO). This three part docu, gave us access to the man ... and his life.

    Thanks & Cheers,

    Hank

    I remember watching these clips a few years ago and found them very evocative, the ultimate Brazilian playboy lifestyle.

    Made a pilgrimage to his grave in Sao Paolo in 2006 when I was there for what should have been Schumi's last F1 race. Found it very emotional that a great life that inspired and captivated millions around the world, was marked by a small bronze plaque set into the grass of the graveyard.

    He would have gone to Ferrari had he lived and won a couple championships with Williams. These Videos can be found in two series, 10 years before the "Senna" movie. The first was Ayrton Senna Racing is in my Blood, and the second was after he passed away, "A Star Named Ayrton Senna"

    I believe he wanted to end his career in a Ferrari.

    Worked out fine though, we got Michael.

    Neat. Ayrton flew model airplanes about the same time I did, only I was about 13 at that time doing it! And yes, it is massively difficult to get the hang of!

    Looks like footage re-purposed from A Star Named Ayrton Senna, which is still the most well rounded documentary on the subject.

    Great videos. Clicked on another after the last, and it said this guy donated a lot of money ANONYMOUSLY to many different causes; he didn't want any publicity. He said was doing it for the right reasons, not to promote himself. How rare is that nowadays? Also that he was horrified of losing any limbs, that if he had an accident that resulted in that, he'd prefer just to die instead. At least that wish was granted. Awesome guy, full of life. And even though he came from a privileged family, he was down to earth. RIP.

    While Senna may have won 3 F1 championships, he was hardly a "true champion". He was a narcissistic cheat who crashed out other drivers on purpose putting other drivers and spectators all in unnecessary danger. Like Schumacher, he should have had his super-license revoked or at least suspended after his first intentional crash.

    Right, he crashed out everyone in Q1 & Q2 so he can run alone in Q3 to get pole 65 times. He must've sabotaged Prost's McLaren in Monaco too to best him to pole by 1.5s. Every driver on the current grid must have unparalleled admiration for cheats then too, since almost all of them voted Senna as the best F1 driver of all time so many years over.

    And Schumi must've killed dozens of drivers to win the wdc 7 times.

    As the hipsters say, "Haters gonna hate."

    Great clips - and re the posts above, I somehow doubt that the blockbuster movie "Button" will be coming to the cinemas anytime soon hehe.....

    I never said I hated Senna nor that he was not a good driver who won a lot of races legitimately, on his own merits. But, while he was the "champion" of F1 series, he did not have the character of a Champion to emulate or put on a pedestal. There are lots of other F1 drivers who have won F1 championships without using illegal "strategic" crashes to do, so; P.Hill, J.Stewart G.Hill, D.Hill, M.Andretti,J.Button, along with many more are examples.
