So my SF90S is my first car with an exposed engine (gaps around the engine wndow), obviously this means that the water / foam will fill the engine bay, when I wash the car, speaking to toehr owners this is fine, any thoughts, advice or suggestions from other more experienced with this than me (My 488 & Cali never had this problem)

I just use a blower to get most of the water out after. But it’s worth ceramic coating the carbon, water spots are a *****.

I'd also dry engine bay dressing as that keeps dust off and helps prevent spotting.

Use spot free rinse water and blow it dry. I use Meguiars hyper dressing diluted 50/50 in my engine compartment, just a very light spray prior to washing the car. the product makes all the hoses, trim, wire, etc look new and the small amount of rinse water blown off afterwords gets rid of the dust.

No high pressure water when you sprey over the engine cover and rear top section.

After washing off, blow the engine bay and dry those big areas with towel at the same time. Blowing will not leave mark and also by wiping and drying with towel will clean preety much 80 percent of it.

I try to turn the engine on while I sprey over the engine because last time my first one poped error with highpressure and no engine running. I don’t know if it is either high pressure or engine is not running or both. So I am sticking to no high pressure and engine running while I am washing.
