It could have just been an error in the selection of the photo for your book. The other guy with the Scuderia may have your picture as well. LOL. I would go back to your dealer to get this issue resolved. You deserve the correct book. My book appears to have the correct car, but you never know about the picture of the 430 engine on the stand. They could use the same for everyone. Ha !

I remember post where one guy received his Scuderia with different color of stripe compare original order. I think gold wheels / silver stripe or opposite, not sure. So i thing that picture of passport should not bother you too much, always might be worse .......

I've always questioned the validity of the VIP book. The VIP book for my Scuderia does not match the production dates my dealer gave me.

Neither of the VIP passport booklets matched either of the last two cars I received, F430 Spider and 430 Scuderia. Both were not even close. The Spider booklet showed an engine and car being built with red plenum covers. Mine has carbon fiber covers. The 430 Scuderia decoy photos show a gray stripe; mine is multi-colored.

I'm convinced the booklets are a cheesy marketing gimmick, assembled only with stock photos. Think of all the time that would be involved to actually perform all of that photographing, matching, and assembling, for each car produced each day. It would take at least 15 Italians to do that, given their work schedule and generous breaktimes.

I'd rather be reimbursed the $25.00 or so it cost me for the factory to produce each set, including the leather pouch. Does anyone know of an address to mail for my refund?

All templates... My VIP has all the right indications that it IS my car... but at the last picture, I could recognize the "old" rear badge of the "430 Scuderia"... Mine has the all new "cheap-looking" "new" badge. I would love to have the old badge BTW.... :(
So back the topic, NONE of you VIP passport owners has their "own" car in it :)

    Too bad...... Would have loved....

Is the VIP passport the book that shows the build process of your car?

Come4 on guys this Ferrari Multi Billion pound Sports car manufacturer, Set up a static camera bit like the ones at the fairground as each car passes done , have a few at different parts of assembly and there you go.

Just a few people matching pics to cars thats it !!!!

I think if its not right dont do it at all.

    Just my opinion guys .

For what it's worth, I've seen the same pictures appear in different VIP books that have come through here. Even the same worker standing in the same spot in the background!

On my latest F430 Spider, the pictures were all good until the last, where, from a rear view, I could see clearly red roll hoops where mine have black, and no parking sensors, there my car does have them, I asked the dealer, their reply was it was a representation of the build process, but what I dont get is, they are real photos, on real photo paper (lift up the edge you will see) and dated accordingly, so why not just take a picture of the real car??

Oh, has anybody used the VIP book on a factory tour? Did you get it stamped at the back?

My photos seemed right (I had an unusual color--rubino micalizzato, and a dual tone interior). Of course in the early build stages it could have been any car.

I do know (from my factory tour several years ago) that every car going down the line has paperwork attached that has both the selling dealer and the customers name, if known.

Maybe I was just lucky but I was able to determine that the photo in mine was indeed my exact car. My car was delivered with a slight flaw that is visible in the photo.

I'm guessing they have stock photos for certain colour combos and just keep adding to the database when new combinations come up which is why some people with interesting combinations have their own car but others with more "normal" combos might have a similar car

    Just a thought....
