Looking for a radio upgrade that will look era correct with blue tooth phone pairing and music streaming. Anyone have any good recommendations before I head down the rabbit hole.

You could go for a radio-delete look with this: https://outofsightaudio.com/

I've used it in several cars; it's about the size of a deck of cards, so you can hide it anywhere. Saves a bit of weight compared to a full head unit.

I applaud your desire to go with modern sound and old school look.

Can we go ahead and get the usual crowd who loves the "sweet song of the exhaust" and I haven't turned my radio on in my life" to post their standard comments now and get them out of the way?

    Who wants to be first?

The same but different.....the engine is so loud I've switched to using noise canceling earbuds to make driving more pleasant, so Bluetooth streaming is the only option. I'm thinking I might reinstall the original radio since I don't really actually use it anymore.

I always liked both.... I think the Bremen is a great fit ... modern head units were usually too wide to fit the slot in the 308...

I have the original dealer installed Blaupunkt Tucson ( I still have the invoice from April 1984 from FAF )

It's plugged into an Alpine CD changer and 400 watt amp sitting on the spare tire. Component speakers in doors and a visual equivalent to Blaupunkt Globe speakers on rear deck (another dealer 80's touch).

I still burn CD's and love it. Great sound and 1984 appearance. Best of both worlds.
