Very much so Marius... mine though has a hint more racing patina to it, than your next to concours edition one;-) BTW what sort of front bumper is it that you have(one "vent" only)?
Still haven`t decided on the livery part yet, but all opinions appreciated... grazie

Going through all pictures I have of my car I found the front skirt being with two vents in 1999 (picture) and with only one vent left in season 2000. I have refurbished the skirt this year and it was obvious to see that it got closed with some CF composite. Aerodynamic efficency? Probably...

Thought it was some aftermarket product in pure carbon maybe for weight purpose.

    Erik,

The Challenge car cover is the Cover Car "Class" model which was made by Confezioni Andrea in Varese, Italy during 348 and F355 Challenge production: Covercar | Car Covers | Shop | Confezioni Andrea

It's worth a try contacting them to see if they will make one for you.

    Hi Greg!

They make the car covers for Ferrari.

It was great seeing you again at WGI.

If possible to reproduce: make a big order- they will for sure sell out in a heartbeat. And if you can get them to make you one...have them add the extra height due to the rear spoiler. The original covers from 1995-1996 are for cars without the spoiler and therefore running a little bit short.. just a thought:)

I'm a little late looking this up. Thanks for the tip! I really appreciate it. Time for a little internet commerce it looks like.

PS: What size is the wording?

The rear wing was first introduced on the 1998 model and added to the rules and regulations for the series that year.

Earlier cars '95-'97 had to update to newer additional parts to remain eligible for these later year series. These improvements made the cars up to 1.5 seconds quicker per lap in testing at Mugello.

Really 1.5 sec quicker ? I had read on fchat (if memory serves me well) that the wing had very little actual benefits from aero perspective. it's very clse to the body and very much in the dirty air of the roof
    Were there other changes ?

Only thing I could think to make them faster is tighten the chassis up and change shocks. With slicks on it you can bend it like steering a toboggan :)

The 2 I have are totally different machines and driving expierance

The wing was only one part to the last cars being faster. Suspension changes, weight loss, steering, and mechanical upgrades.

The parts list is long going from '97 to '98.

I'll try to post a scanned PDF of the rules and regs soon.

Thanks for clearing that out for me Robb. When I come to think about it, Ferrari also did this to the 360 and 430 Challenge, adding the rear spoiler later on?

Yes - aero packages were added in later models as "part 2" of a challenge model. They always started out without this initially.

Needed a helping hand with the 355CH the other night and my brother stopped by...and after some good advice(he is the oldest...hehehe), I just had to eternalize this awesome combination of "italian artistry". Two manufactures that for sure will make it into the books of hall of fame in motorsport. The tall one is a 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO 2 in Giallo Ginestra. Hope you enjoy...

Finally the roll cage is installed along with a OMP steeringwheel with OMP cover ( not THE correct s.wheel I know;-) ), "sticky no more" steering column cover and a few other bits. This Sabelt Challenge raceseat is just installed temporary- OMP VID2 seats will hopefully be restored within the spring. Still looking for the correct bolt for the roll cage- they were not obtainable from my local OMP dealer or any other motorsport dealer for that matter, so if you have any tips on where to get these, I appreciate your response ( rounded off heads) Door sills are freshly painted and has yet to be installed. Suit & tie already in the car passenger side ;-)
