Season 12 started today, here is the Veyron test which I ripped from the episode for all here to enjoy Part1 is road test and factory tour http://www.coresworld.net/5thgear/5thgear_Veyron.avi 190mb Also lowres version tight on megs http://www.coresworld.net/5thgear/ Part 2 is on the track http://www.coresworld.net/5thgear/5thgear_Veyron_track.avi 60mb Enjoy
I saw this but what got me interested was when he told the cameraman 'don't get the camera to far to the right', would that be a new Bugatti prototype or...?
apparently Bugatti is working on either a cheaper car to compete with the F430 or a 4 door high powered sedan with a tuned down Veyron engine in it.
PS- the Veyron was built to jump start the Bugatti brand. It costs Bugatti $5 million to produce each Veyron in which they only sell for $1.8 million. I expect their next car to be a cheaper car with more volume (ie. Lamborghini Gallardo)
Thanks for the upload. 5th Gear is fine when you can't have your weekly fix of Jeremy Clarkson, but otherwise, the only presenter worth mentioning from is Tiff.
Could that "cheaper" car have been what Tiff kept saying the cameraman couldn't pan too? Great vids by the way. Too bad he didn't attempt to go top speed.
i think the car that couldn't be shown is the pegaso edition... its already in the UAE. comes in at 3:24 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4kN9JC3spQ and here it is in the UAE... taken from http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=492244 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I doubt it. There is nothing that special about that car. Also I believe the pics of that car came out before taping occured. 5th gear usually tapes 2-4 weeks before show is released. The red/silver Veyron which Tiff commented on was just delivered to Lambo Las Vegas. It was at the shop about 2 weeks ago which is someone around the time I assume this was taped.
I would be extremely surprised if it was a smaller Bugatti. Why you ask? Well ex-CEO Thomas Bscher had been pushing for such model ever since he was appointed ... and he "recently" quit because VAG would not let "him" make a more affordable Bugatti. So there. As for the vid, it is great indeed, but that car sounds like a truck.
Agreed... I respect them but they do nothing for me visually. If I could, I doubt I could get it up for one.
Thats what i assume , but when i asked the Bugatti people at Concorso they looked at me as if i was crazy and said there was no Targa car coming?? Maybe they no less than us internet guys, or were just trying to tow the company official line, untill its officail ;-)
