    Anyone use this stuff?

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41yTnEIXOyL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

I just sprayed my expansion tank and I am getting near perfect, glass-like finish, on most of the tank and random grey/dull areas. I hit it again and I get new glass-like finish with new grey/dull areas.

    Am I missing something?
    Doing something wrong?

    Thanks!!!

I used the pink VHT on a race motor I built for my Mirage. Never ran the car so it did not cure properly. But when I sprayed it on, I remember a fairly glossey application. Maybe you did not prep the surface properly?

do you know the humidity level when you are spraying?
If you apply in weather with high humidity you will get the results you have described

    Low humidity.
    Also--
On the last spray, I brought it inside immediately which has near zero humidity.

    Confusing me...

    Bare metal sand.
    Primer.
    Sand.
Couple light coats of VHT, which dried glossy.
Heavy coat to finish. This is where the problems started.

I don't think curing it will change the finish.

Not sure what to do at this point.

    OK--

Did another coat completely indoors (make shift paint booth) and it came out perfectly.
Humidity was LOW today, but I guess not low enough.

I suppose this was the fix....?

    Thanks for the input.
