Let that be a lesson to anyone who thinks they should buy low and have it restored!

From the pics, it seems to be about as good as they get. Not really sure the market has come to them yet tho.......

My car is a later chassis number, but they sure look like twins right down to the last detail.

Hope someone here goes for it!

    1. How do you let something like that sit in the garage and not drive it?
    2. How could you take something like that out of the garage and drive it?
What you need is a daily driver /beater 430 for the shopping & cleaners run. :)

    tritone,
My car is also very late (11385), and it also (in my humble opinion) looks as good as this one. No, I think it looks better, because it has not been repainted resale red. Would you like to exchange some pics?

Having bought Ferraris "to restore" before, I did not repeat the mistake with the 330 GTC. NEVER will I take on a restoration project again. There is only ONE possible reason to buy a car like this that is not in PERFECT condition: you know somebody else willing to pay even more than you did, and you sell it to them.

mauispence, your first question is a good one, but I don't understand the second one. Just get in, turn the key, and you will hear something that the owner of a pollution controlled, catalysed, fuel injected, electronically managed 8 cylinder will only hear if he has a particularly good wet dream.

Then, warm it up well (25 minutes at least), and head for the hills!

    Cheers,

    Julio

What is a "trading assistant"? Is that a legal distinction so that they don't have to pay the cost of being a registered car dealer or won't have any liability that a car broker or dealer might have?

Car looks very nice, should go for a high price if all of the mechanicals are as good as the cosmetics appear to be.

Was able to check the sellers direct listing where the car is listed at $215,000. Seems a bit high for the current market. I too saw the results at Goodings. It wasn't clear if that was the hammer price or if it included commission etc. Anyone know? http://www.tuttotrading.com/vead67FERRARI.htm

The one at Russo and Steele in Scottsdale went for $195,800. (I'm pretty sure that includes the buyer's premium.)

$130K was the hammer price. Add buyers fee. I believe a dealer, Autosport Design, purchased it.

    Ashman,
An Ebay trading assistant is simply a user who has a very high level of feedback and credentials with Ebay. That person (such as myself) is available to assist other people with their sales. Some people just don't have the skills or time or feedback to get things done on Ebay.

I am going to have to agree with you. This lower shroud looks like it is sitting way too low. I would be afraid of breaking it off. It is supposed to help direct cool air to the engine. By the way, my car is missing the shroud and I have not had any luck in finding a replacement. Are there any out there?

I hope I'm wrong, but suspect that it will be back. The buyer's average purchase is under $10.
