No barcode under there mate, but there is the IMEI number. It matches the phone IMEI number when I turn it on. Pics supplied. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok, for you to reach the Vertu Concierge number then its most likely real, as most replicas (so I have been told) do not have the Concierge button or phone number. And by looking at the back of the phone, it looks real to me. You got a Smokin Great Deal if that is the case Pap! Good For You!
Thanks mate. The Concierge button is circled in red in the pic. You hold that down for a second or two to start dialling their number. I still could be wrong, but I have a feeling its a genuine one. It still may not be. Either way, it doesnt really matter. Thanks for your advice and help. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice replica for sale on Ebay Aus. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Vertu-Ferrari-phone-titanium-and-leather-finish_W0QQitemZ120431906843QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_15?hash=item1c0a4d101b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A16%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50
Im not 100% sure mate, but I think its real. Check out my post #27. Thats about as far as my investigating went. The IMEI numbers match, so I am assuming its a real one.
This one looks genuine. I will have to look and see if mine has a numbered certificate in the box. $2500 on Ebay with 1 bid on it. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VERTU-Ferrari-1947-Limited-Edition-Mobile-369-1947_W0QQitemZ170442212712QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Mobile_Phones?hash=item27af25c568
Pap have you ever dealt with with http://www.myreplicamobile.com/create_account_success.php. You mentioned them on post#10
Pap Take it apart. Strip it down. If it's chassis looks like this it's an original 1947 Ferrari Vertu. Cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pap, call the concierge service. If they answer and can get you a table at any fancy restaurant tonight or tickets for any show , its real..if they give you the number of Pizza Hut, its fake
Heya mate, I havent dealt with them sorry. I just found that link on the net. Thanks Jim, I will investigate/strip it down and report back to you. I called them man, it rang some HUGE long number. It called a few times then I **** myself and hung the phone up. I dont remember the number now, but I can put the sim card back in and check it out maybe. Is there a way to find out a phone number online without calling it?? Punch it in google perhaps?
Yes Jim, upon further inspection it seems to be a genuine 1947 Ferrari Vertu. Image Unavailable, Please Login
PAP, may i know whereabout did you acquire the phone from? as much as I like your vertu to be real, i sadly think it is a fake. one strong reason being the engraved DJPT POSTEL in the same engraving as 'made in UK' i bet it is a chinese fake made for indonesian market. DJPT is the abbrev for Dirjen Pajak Pos and Telekomunikasion POSTEL is the abbrev for Pos and Telekomunikasion DJPT is the indonesian tax governing body for any postal and communication goods and services. So engraving 'DJPT - POSTEL' does not make sense, does it? DJPT's serial number wouldn't be available until the goods are imported into the country so there is no wayy the guys in Hampshire could have any idea on what numbers to engrave. most imported phones are numbered using some kind of warranty stickers anyway. the last time i checked on vertu copies, they sold for US$60 shipped to indonesia probably they made couple of hundred bucks profit from selling you one @$320 obviously we may want to avoid doing small scale business with them aight?
Hello my friend. Thanks for the info, VERY interesting. I bought my phone off Ebay from a seller in Australia. The seller told me he bought it and never used it. He didnt tell me where he bought it from though. Since ive had it, ive never used it either. Its too nice to use and abuse. I dont know if its a fake or not. But it doesnt really bother me. If I paid $320 for a $60 phone then thats life. Its done now and I aint getting upset over something that I bought 2 yrs ago. But thankyou very much for your help/info. I wonder if there is a way to contact Vertu to enquire if my phone actually IS a fake? Ill look into it. Thanks again.
