What do you guys feel these cars are actually worth right now? Very low production obviously, but low exposure as well compared to many super cars.

Each car is different, and has had different care given to it along the way. A factory (or people who were employees) restored car IMO is worth as much as a pristine car.

The last car that went on auction was chassis 007, the only W8 in midnight blue (at RM auction, Battersea Park, Oct 2010) selling for a £160k high bid ($250k) plus auction fee of 12%: approx $280.000.

    http://www.xe.com/ucc

But this chassis 007 was basically a brand new car which had been displayed at the www.technik-museum.de for 17 years.

This silver W8, chassis 016, has had less than perfect repairs of the passenger window and obviously a new paint job in the front which does not exactly match the original color.

I would estimate the value between $180-250k depending on the actual condition of the car.
All other W8s sold between $100k and $230k in the past 15 years.

The vector is Avery cool car. But I have a question...how much of the car is "borrowed" ? in other words, Ferrari used a lot of fiat parts in their cars in the 70's and 80's. I know they couldn't make every part for that car from scratch.

Normal wear items, are they easy to find? Window regulators, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, brake rotors, suspension springs, tires, shocks, etc. even body panels, where would you get replacements...or can you.

The gas cap is borrowed from the Apache.
The instrument cluster display is borrowed from the F117A
the rear tail light is custom cut from a cadillac's lights
I'm sure the steering wheel is from some mass production car, with custom leather wrapped leather; among some other things.

This is the F117A instrument panel:

No similarities to the W8 display:

I was told it stems from an Abrams tank.
However, this has never been confirmed.

The tail lights are from a Buick Century:

Not sure whether the gas cap is from an AH-64 Apache:

Steering column is a modified GM piece. I once heard where the third brake light was sourced from, but don't recall what it was. The instrument panel is obviously made for the W8 but designed by Lockheed people. Switches are I believe what are sourced from fighters such as F117. I've also read that the fuel tank is designed like the Apache helicopter, but doubtful its the same.
I don't think much was sourced from existing cars. Engine parts etc were sourced from racing aftermarket & the car was designed to be easily serviced. I believe Jerry has extra parts yet & David still services the cars also.
Somewhere in this thread I posted everything I copied from various forums that Kurt had said regarding Vectors. Very long but informative.
Not sure about brakes & other wear items, but wouldn't be hard to find out I wouldn't think...

I have access to the complete parts and vendor´s lists.
They helped me to find parts for quite a few W8s so far.

ebay auctions are rarely designed to actually sell cars like this directly. It is more of a marketing tool.

You would think they would command more money. It's such a cool car. But I suppose it's a bit like the delorean. They still can only get what the msrp was. Never really gained any value.

MSRP was 450.000$ in 1993 hard currency, approx 800.000$ in today´s money.

    Agree on that.
But when the eBay ad expires after a few days it is not marketed any longer...

It doesn't cost anything to relist it with an unrealistic reserve. Much cheaper than an ad in Hemmings, DuPont Registry, etc.

Do you rely on the eBay pictures with regards to window repairs and bad paint job?

I was hanging out in Beverly Hills yesterday and spotted Silver W8 Chassis 016 3 times, sadly 2 times I was driving and the other time I was eating lunch so I couldn't get my phone out for some pics. You almost always forget how sleek these cars are until you see them in person.

Does the owner of that car show up at Supercar Sunday and Cars & Coffee Irvine often? I will be attending both in April. I really want to see that car!
