Do any of you fellow Valeo owners know of a source for the Valeo ECU?
Attached is the workshop manual drawing of it. It is located to the left of the trunk as you're looking at the back of the car.
Also, could I trouble one of you to shoot a picture of your unit (especially the plug area) and send to me?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Greg,

Rachel has been at Eugenio's for same A/C therapy. I'm collecting her tomorrow and will then attempt to get some shots of the ECU for you.

Mind you, I'm no electrical engineer. So for me, an "ohm" is where an Englishman hangs his hat. And I'll say "watt", if I didn't hear you. Therefore, I'll not be tearing into the ECU apart for photography purposes. If I even begin to attempt that, I'll cause myself no end of emotional misery and serious bank account depletion !! :):)

What about that post regarding the chap (in UK, I think) who repaired them?

    Cheers, Hank

    Hank,
No, unfortunately the 2 places recommended only work on the engine ECU's.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Greg, I have other addresses but they are on my other computer and I am now in Switzerland. Try to get back to you next week after I arrive home.

Google ECU repairs in Google.de. There is a German company that apparently does all types of ECU repairs and they speak English if you call. If you can't find them I will get their contact info to you next week.

Last time I drove it it died in 1st gear as I parked it.
After that it would not turnover similar to when it is in gear.
I followed the process of powering down and replacing the Valeo relay all with no success.
The dealer was able to start the car by bypassing the Valeo system and believes it is the ECU causing the problem.

Greg, Here are some German ECU repair companies. Most of them have Websites in English and I would expect them to all speak it.
Tachoreparatur, Navi Reparatur, Pixelfehler, ABS Steuergerät defekt
    https://ecu.de
? Steuergerät Reparatur ? Motorsteuergerät, ABS und ESP, Getriebesteuergerät etc.
Steuergerät defekt? Wir Reparieren Getriebe- Motor- ABS Steuergeräte -Motor-Steuergeräte Reparatur Motor Steuergeräte auch gebraucht - Pruefung & Fehleranalyse zu günstigen Preisen.
    Motorsteuergerät reparieren - Die Gehirn-Chirurgen - autobild.de

Greg you can search on the German Google at google.de and search "ECU reparatur" Many have websites in English and certainly will respond to email. You can do the same for French companies using the French Google site Google

    Good luck!

    Randall
